Story
Meet Beverly – a gentle soul looking for a soft place to land 💜 Beverly is a young Great Dane/Mastiff mix with a heart as big as her paws. While her journey has taken an unexpected turn and she is now considered a hospice dog due to orthopedic challenges and mild vision impairment, Beverly’s spirit remains warm, loving, and deeply connected to the people around her. At just under a year old, Beverly is already a large dog, but her presence is calm and tender rather than overwhelming. She adores human companionship and finds comfort simply being near her people—whether that means resting nearby, leaning in for affection, or quietly following you from room to room. Beverly’s mobility and vision needs mean she’s looking for a patient, compassionate home that can offer a safe, predictable environment and help her navigate the world at her own pace. She does best with gentle handling, soft bedding, and thoughtful support to keep her comfortable. NMDR will provide guidance on her care and ongoing needs. Despite her medical challenges, Beverly’s capacity for love is enormous. She is sweet, social, and emotionally intuitive—grateful for every kind word and gentle touch. Her ideal adopter is someone who understands that hospice dogs aren’t about “fixing,” but about cherishing every moment and giving unconditional love in return. If you have room in your heart and home for a dog who needs comfort, patience, and compassion, Beverly will reward you with quiet devotion and a bond that is truly special.

Story
5 year old Great Dane mix. Mother was Great Dane. Father may have been the milk man. The brothers have been together their entire lives. They have had two or three homes before coming to live with me the past two years. They are really good dogs. Loving, friendly, happy, obedient. Rocky is a good pillow, Max is not so much. Both enjoy cuddling on couch. They are great in the kennel all day. They can stay outside all day. They can stay loose inside all day, some household disruptions are expected. They will ring a bell on the door to go out (previous owner taught) or come to get you when they need to go out (my method). Sit, high-five, down, stay, come are all well known. Play dead (or "bang" as we play it) is not their favorite. They eat in separate bowls. Rocky always finishes first and does not go after Max's bowl.. Neither went after my old girl's bowl after they finished. You can take their food bowl while they are eating. I feed Taste of the Wild 1c 2x/day. 3-yr vax.
