This giant boy was found dumped at Altama Plantation in Brunswick, Ga. He was already neutered, microchipped, crate/house trained, knows some tricks, and had on an expensive collar, but even with the microchip being registered, and owner contacted, they didn't come forward to claim him. Gus is a big ole baby that is a total goober that kind of just bops about the rescue when he's out to socialize with the others. He has gotten a long with most people he's met, but needs a slow introduction to men and needs a home with no kids under the age of 16. He has shown unease around men, even trusted men to the rescue. He is a very big boy that doesn't know his size at all so he will try to rub against you or lean on your while almost knocking you over. He needs experienced Great Dane owners and a high fenced in yard so that he can learn boundaries. Rescue welcomes Butler! This 4 month old English Pointer / Great Dane is a wonderful, non assuming great big puppy. His feet tell the whole story as they ae HUGE. He is just frantically trying to grow into them. He was nearly starved when found and he is tackling the food dish like a PRO. This jubilous lump of puppy enthusiasm and charm will melt your heart, and empty your treat bend all at the same time. He is awesome with other dogs ( especially those his size) and probably fine with a cat. He would do well with a family full of children as well. He is just happy to be here and happier to be fed. Sirius Black was found as a stray, put on stray hold, but never claimed. Adopted out, Sirius was once again found as a stray by Glynn County Animal Services recently. After not being reclaimed again, Sirius is hoping the third time is the charm for him. We know he is destined to have a magical life if he can just find the right family who is devoted to him. Sirius Black appears to have Irish Wolfhound in his lineage. He is tall, slim, and has a wiry coat around his face, which is so adorable. He is young and very friendly with everyone here. We believe Sirius would be a great family pet! Come and meet this tall and handsome boy. We believe you will fall in love with Sirius Black....just like magic! We are open 11 to 4 Tuesday through Saturday. Sirius is neutered, microchipped, current on core vaccines and has tested negative for heartworms. We have no idea if Sirius was ever housetrained, but as big as he is, it is hard to believe he wasn`t. One thing for sure.....Sirius is big enough and smart enough to learn the ropes quickly!
