Andre's special needs is that he is very underweight for his breed + age, he has been gaining weight with us, but it is still something to keep in mind that he will need some work. Andre came to us as part of a dump situation, where he was smaller than he is now and hardly able to stand and walk, after being with us and getting started on a weight gain program and some medical care, he has been slowly but steadily gaining weight and his personality has exploded alongside his weight gain! He is very goofy, affectionate, and if you ask him he is the size of your lap so why are you complaining about being crushed? We would love to see him go to a good home that can help him get to where he needs to be weight wise!

We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees:Dogs over 6 months old: $100Puppies under 6 months: $200. Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip). For your convenience you can fill out an adoption application for any of our current residents at www.moaspets.com.
