This giant boy was found dumped at Altama Plantation in Brunswick, Ga. He was already neutered, microchipped, crate/house trained, knows some tricks, and had on an expensive collar, but even with the microchip being registered, and owner contacted, they didn't come forward to claim him. Gus is a big ole baby that is a total goober that kind of just bops about the rescue when he's out to socialize with the others. He has gotten a long with most people he's met, but needs a slow introduction to men and needs a home with no kids under the age of 16. He has shown unease around men, even trusted men to the rescue. He is a very big boy that doesn't know his size at all so he will try to rub against you or lean on your while almost knocking you over. He needs experienced Great Dane owners and a high fenced in yard so that he can learn boundaries. This beautiful girl was adopted as a puppy but came back to us when her family could no longer afford her care. Now shes ready for a forever home that will cherish her the way she deserves. Georgie can be timid when meeting new people and may announce herself with some big dog barking, but dont let that fool you. Once she knows youre a friend, she quickly melts into the lovable, goofy gentle giant that Great Danes are famous for. Shes happiest when playing with her favorite humans or romping with her male dog buddies (shes not a fan of the ladies, canine-wise). Hi everyone! Meet this beautiful boy Manteo. He is between 1 and 2 years old. He is potty trained and is really good on the leash! We go on walks and runs with him daily. If we have the resources and capacity to keep him we would. We absolutely love him. He is so sweet. He has been amazing with his little sister Beth who we are also fostering. He’s been keeping her in line when she bites and playing with her all day long. Not territorial with any toys or food. Sometimes he just doesn’t know how big he is (70 pounds).

Once a little energy is burned off, he is perfectly content as a couch potato or bed hog. He will truly be your best friend and give more affection than you can imagine.
