Hoss needs a patient, dog-savvy, and breed-experienced home that understands the needs of a giant breed. He has shown to want to be the only dog in the home so he can soak up all of the attention. He will thrive with someone committed to continuing his obedience training and giving him structure. Because of his size and strength, Hoss will require an adult only home. Underneath it all, Hoss is a wonderful dog who just needs the right person to bring out his best. Summer is a 9 year old great dane. She's 119 pounds. I believe she would do great with a family with older children. She gets a little grumpy around little children. My family has had summer since she was able to leave her mom. Summer would love a huge yard to run in and play. She knows basic commands. She's a great lovable dog and I hate to do this but I have 4 young grandchildren living with me and Summer can't handle the littles running around.

I adopted this 12-mth old purebred Dane one week ago on 3/21/26. I was told he did well with cats and other dogs; he does not. I was told he walked well on a leash; he does not. In fact, he appears to have had little to no training during his formative months. He is sweet, adorable, lovable, energetic, happy, and playful. He is also 140 lbs, immensely powerful, plays rough and plays for keeps. Everything is a game to him, every object a chew toy. This beautiful Dane requires a strong, experienced owner familiar with this breed; a large, fenced yard would be a plus, as he yearns to stretch his legs at full speed. He is not protective of his own food, nor is he mean or aggressive toward humans. He is great with kids & adults, but tends to go after other dogs. He could be a great pet with lots of patience and guidance. Not yet neutered. $450 adoption fee includes all necessary vaccines, rabies, and veterinary health check performed on 3/26/26.
