Meet Miley, a 6-month-old mixed breed pup with the sweetest personality and a playful spirit to match. At around 41 pounds, this black-and-white beauty appears to be a Great Dane/Lab/Bully-type mix (best guess) and is still growing into her big paws and learning all about the world around her. Since coming into foster care, Miley has become so playful! She is mid to high energy and enjoys playing with humans and other dogs. Miley also does well with young children thanks to her friendly and gentle nature. She’s still waiting to be tested around cats. Like most puppies, Miley is still learning her manners. She knows “sit” and “drop,” uses the dog door, and is working on potty training and leash walking. With patience and positive reinforcement, she’s sure to keep making great progress. If you’re looking for a goofy, affectionate, playful pup to grow up with your family, Miley may be your perfect match! All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Adoption fee is $250.

Adopt Frank! ☺️ Frank has stolen our hearts!! This sweet guy is the definition of gentle giant. Frank is a 4 year old Mastiff Mix! Originally adopted from KCPP we saw that he does well on a very long walks. Frank does awesome on leash. He is not reactive to bikes or dogs on walks and he pulls very little. Frank knows how to sit and takes treats gently. Frank likes pup cups, and to be told how handsome he is! Frank is about 140 lbs so he will do best with a family that has the strength for him, but also will help him be active. Frank attends playgroups but can be a bit of a nervous nelly, so being with one other dog in the home may be best. He really is such a sweet pea and just wants to love on everyone. 🪿Introducing Goose🪿 Goose is a female Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix. She was taken in by a person who didn’t want her to be euthanized when her original owner needed to get rid of her, but that person took on more than she could handle and asked for help. She is a super sweet girl who still acts like a puppy. We are thinking she is between 1-2 years old. She has never been a working dog, she has only known soft couches and chairs and the indoors. Yes she loves the outdoors, but she just wants to be where her people are. She’ll become your shadow and she is not ashamed to beg for food or attention. She does have a problem hovering near other dogs when they are eating, so know it may be best to separate Goose and any other animals when they eat. Goose does jump, we are trying to work with her. So we believe she would do best with older kiddos in case she forgets her size, unless you are willing to work with her and not give up on her. She does know “sit” and since she is super food motivated, we think she’d do great with more basic training. Goose has been in a home with small dogs, big dogs, and cats. She sometimes chased the cats, but never tried to hurt them, she just wants to play. Most of the dogs were older and they didn’t appreciate her rough housing. We wanted to get her pretty face out there, as the noisy kennel is already stressing her out. She is heartworm negative and just needs microchipped once we find her furever family.
