Story
Greetings&#44 dear reader! Allow me to introduce myself - I am Piglet&#44 a charming canine companion on a journey of self-discovery and companionship. As a dog&#44 I possess a unique blend of qualities that make me quite the distinctive character. At my very core&#44 shyness weaves itself into the fabric of my being. Iandamp;#39;m the kind of dog who takes his time to warm up to new faces and unfamiliar environments. While some might interpret this as aloofness&#44 itandamp;#39;s simply my way of safeguarding the gentle heart that beats within me. My shyness is like the soft petals of a budding flower&#44 gradually unfurling in the presence of those who exhibit patience and understanding. andlt;br/andgt;Clumsiness is another facet of my endearing nature. My paws often seem to have a mind of their own&#44 leading me into comical misadventures that evoke laughter and love. I might trip over my own feet or knock over a carefully arranged stack of books&#44 but itandamp;#39;s all part of my undeniable charm. My ability to find joy even in the most ungraceful moments serves as a reminder that lifeandamp;#39;s imperfections are what truly make it beautiful. If youandamp;#39;re the patient and kind soul willing to embark on a journey of understanding with me&#44 youandamp;#39;ll find that the layers of my personality unfold like the pages of a treasured novel. So&#44 take my paw in yours&#44 offer me the time I need&#44 and together&#44 weandamp;#39;ll create a story of friendship and love that will stand the test of time.

Story
Good golly, look at our Miss Molly! She's a gorgeous Great Dane with bright eyes, who is 10 or 11 months old. Still a puppy and still growing, and she'll definitely achieve full Great Dane size. Molly loves to play, especially with other dogs, and she reads their cues really well, so she's a great playmate. With that energy, she still has puppy tendencies - "Hey, is that steak on the counter? Don't mind if I do. LOL, can't blame her. She learns quickly, though, what you like her to do and what you'd prefer her not to do, so she'll be easy to work with. When she looks at you with those golden puppy eyes, you know she's worth it. She's a really good dog. She's house trained and crate trained and ready to grace your yard with her beautiful long running strides. She's also spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $275. Meet & greets with Molly will be scheduled with approved adopters at PawsitiveTailsKC.org.

We show our dogs by appointment only. If you are interested in adopting Bennett, please fill out our online dog adoption application at kcpaws.org Adoption fee: $300 Please READ FULL BIO BEFORE APPLYING Meet Bennett! In my years working in rescue I've met so many amazing dogs but this boy truly has landed a special place in my heart! Bennett is a 1 year old  XXL Great Dane that came from a bad situation in which he was not being cared for properly by his previous owner.  He spent all day in a kennel that was about 2 sizes too small for him that he couldn't even lift his head in. His owners handling style was....less than kind.  Despite this rough beginning to life, Bennett loves everyone he meets but because he hasn't been properly worked with until now, he will still need to work on his manners. He does like to jump up on people and due to his size he will need someone who is skilled at handling a dog like him.  Bennett needs a home with plenty of room to run and play as he does have a lot of energy. He gets very excited to see other dogs but unfortunately was not socialized until now so he is still learning how to meet new doggy friends without coming on too strong. He needs continued training on how to meet other dogs properly and would do best with dogs who are tolerant and maybe a bit more mature to teach him some manners. At this time, he is not an appropriate candidate for high stimulating situations like dog parks. He also should not be around small dogs because he may hurt them on accident.   He needs a home with someone who has large breed experience and is willing to work with him on training including potty training. He is the sweetest boy and though he may look tough he is a big softy and just wants love an dis eager to please. He is scared of things like loud noises, sirens, and thunderstorms and my get anxious when these things happen. He would do best in a home where he would not be alone too many hours of the day.  Bennett loves kids, he just needs to work on his basic obedience as he is a bit clumsy with how he shows affection.  I cant really describe in words how sweet Bennett is , his personality is like a three year old kid who just wants to make everyone smile. He looks tough but he is the biggest baby in the world. He deserves a home that will go the extra mile to ensure he reaches his full potential and can live the happiest life possible.  Great Danes often come with very specific health issues and require regular vetting and upkeep as they age. If you have never owner a great dane or a XXL breed, please do your research before applying. a volunteer has offered to help sponsor training for Bennett so that he and his adopter can reach their full potential together!September 28, 2023, 8:58 am

Story
Baxter is a big beautiful fawn greyhound whose size is only eclipsed by the size of his heart. He's been described as a "Baxter in a China Shop" when he gets excited, and he doesn't always realize how big he is.  Baxter loves to sleep, and considers it pure joy when he gets to share a bed with his humans. When he's not catching zzzzzs, he can be found watching life go by through the front window. He's easily entertained by stuffies and likes to chew bully sticks, rawhide and other chew toys but don't let that fool you. He's not destructive and takes direction well when told to "leave it." Ear rubs, gentle pets and scritches are a few of his other favorite things. Baxter is housebroken, sleeps through the night and is learning how to properly take strolls using a gentle leader. He's also a member of the Clean Plate Club, though he prefers dining alone. He rarely barks and loves to keep an eye on his humans.  Is your home and heart big enough to welcome Baxter? If yes, reach out today. While Baxter can live with other dogs and needs a fur sibling, he is not small dog or cat safe.   Please note we adopt within 3 hours of Kansas City.
