Story
Ella is almost 2 years old, and she is the biggest cuddler you will ever meet. She loves to play chase and snooze with her favorite people. She is unfortunately reactive towards dogs and most strangers, especially men. This is something that we did not learn until after we had adopted her from BARCS last November. Ella had an incident where she attacked and mildly injured a dog on the street, and the owner caught a stray bite while trying to separate them. Since then, we put her through 4 weeks of professional training which has helped to set a good foundation. However, we just do not have the time, experience, or resources to continue the training at the level she needs. She is content to stay at home most of the time since walks are so anxiety inducing for her. She is genuinely so loving of her people that she gets very protective around dogs and strangers. She gets along with the other dog in our house, a 70 lb. lab/redbone coonhound mix, as well as our 2 cats. Kids unknown.

Chloe also enjoys attention from her people and has already shown us that a good booty scratch is one of her favorite forms of affection. She has a lower to moderate energy level and can be a little stiff, especially when getting up from lying down or moving around. Once she's outside, though, Chloe can surprise you with bursts of playfulness and even some running around the yard. Chloe came to the shelter through no fault of her own after previously living with another dog. We are still getting to know her and learning more about what type of home will be the best fit for her. Her history with cats, small animals, and children is currently unknown. If you're looking for a big-hearted senior who enjoys both relaxing with her people and having a little fun outside, Chloe would love to meet you!
