DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting. ***** Cute and playful Ford is a Great Dane, Saint Bernard, and Poodle mix; he is 2 1/2 yo, weighs 73lbs., is neutered, is up to date on his vaccines, but is not microchipped. Ford needs a new as a result of rules changes where he currently lives. Ford knows basic commands, is great in the vehicle but doesn't like it when his guardians play wrestle w/their children. Ford's guardian explains why she is rehoming him: " We live on a boat and the marina has recently changed the rules about dogs being outside. He now doesn't have yard space to run and play and with a very hectic schedule, I'm not finding enough time to take him to the park. Short walks aren't cutting it for him and he's been spending more and more time in the crate." Ford will be a great companion with children (lives w/children ages 2 & 5), dogs, and cats, as he's lived with all of them. He's very friendly and loves kids, but since he doesn't know his size, supervision with small children is necessary. He's also submissive and playful w/dogs. Although Ford loves cats, he knows their limitations, so he follows their cue when they show they aren't interested in playing. Ford's guardian describes him as: Very active Playful Friendly Likes to be touched Affectionate Always at your side Indoor dog House-Trained Crate-Trained Likes men Likes women Ford's guardian describes his ideal future home: " Ford would thrive with a fenced yard and another dog to run around with. Ideally kids that are a little older to play fetch with him. A family who will take him on adventures and include him in all activities."
