Story
Meet Roo (a.k.a. RooBear, Rooski Bruski, or Roo Roo!) Roo is a 2–3 year old Blue Merle Great Dane adult who weighs 85 pounds and was found abandoned by a well-known lake in Tennessee.  Someone rescued her from this terrible fate of no food or clean water and no place to be as she was wandering around the lake area very skinny and starved.  She was so grateful when someone took her home.  She then had different people foster her only for a few days at a time until this wonderful family saw her plight and need and said.....let us take her and foster her with a good rescue group.  Now this big girl named Roo has some stability in her life and has earned the nickname “Velcro dog.”  Of course this lost and abandoned girl who was deserted by a lake and then bounced a few times, wants to be right by your side and soak up every ounce of love and attention you’re willing to give her.  She will learn one day that noone is ever going to abandon her again.  This athletic girl has plenty of energy, loves to play with a happy spirit and and is an impressive olympic class jumper. She will thrive best in an active home.  Food definitely motivates her and this makes it super easy to train her and get her undivided attention. Roo is house-trained, crate-trained, cat-friendly, and absolutely loves to snuggle in the bed with her humans.   Roo bonds quickly and becomes very protective of her people so we will have tips on how to temper that zealous enthusiasm to claim you. She needs a family where she can be the queen of the castle and receive endless love and attention in return. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will stick by you through everything, Roo is your girl!      Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested.   She is currently fostered in Tennessee and can be adopted locally and also can transport to a loving family that is northeast of Tennessee.  We transport almost weekly on the weekends. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 29, 2026, 9:55 pm

Story
A gentle giant with a goofy streak and a heart as big as his paws. Max is a stunning 2-year-old blue Great Dane who perfectly captures the classic Dane personality — affectionate, sweet, and happiest when he’s close to his people. He’s a true love-bug who believes leaning against you counts as quality bonding time. Like many young Danes, Max still has a playful side and occasionally breaks into the kind of joyful zoomies that only a giant dog can manage. Once the silliness passes, he’s just as happy lounging nearby and embracing his inner couch potato. Max is great with other dogs and very friendly with people. We’re not yet sure how he feels about cats. He will benefit from some basic obedience training, but he’s eager to please and very willing to learn. He’s been doing well with house training and sleeps comfortably in his crate overnight with a little treat encouragement. Max is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, and once that’s complete and he settles into his forever home, he’s expected to thrive. He doesn’t need a perfect home — just a loving one ready for a loyal, affectionate giant. Quick facts: • 2 years old • Blue Great Dane • Affectionate, playful, and loyal • Good with other dogs • Crate trained • Doing well with house training • Smart, trainable young dog • Currently receiving heartworm treatment The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. Story
Meet Quinn (“Quinny Girl” or “Princess”) 🐾 Quinn is an adorable, big-hearted puppy with a playful and affectionate personality. She loves attention, cuddles, and being close to her people. Quinn enjoys walks but is just as happy lounging around and relaxing with her family. She’s a big puppy who thinks she’s about 10 pounds and will happily try to cuddle like a tiny lap dog! She also loves food and treats, which makes her easy to motivate and train. Overall Quinn is sweet, low-maintenance, and full of personality. Important: Quinn has a companion dog named Tye, and they have been living together. Our hope is to find a loving home that may be open to adopting them together, as they are very comfortable with one another. This has been a very difficult decision for our family, especially for our children, and we would feel much more peace knowing they can stay together.

Story
Maggie is a 5+ yr old Great Dane who came to us through a foster rescue about 3 years ago. She is very gentle -but stubborn- and she is a *very* drooly girl. She is house trained but needs to be let outside frequently to go potty or she will have an accident- it is best if she goes with someone who likes to get up early and keeps a routine. Maggie loves to go for slow walks, lay in the sun, and she is looking for someone who can spend a lot of time with her.
