Story
Meet Lettie 🐾💖 Lettie is a tiny bundle of happy chaos and cuddles! This playful little snugglebug is always ready for toy time, couch time, or following her people around like it’s her full-time job. If joy came in puppy form, it would probably look a lot like Lettie. Lettie is house and crate trained, friendly with cats, dogs, and kids, and she is obsessed with her bestie, Dottie the one-year-old Great Dane in her foster home. Big dog, little dog — Lettie is here for it. When playtime is over, she transforms into a professional couch snuggler, ready to curl up, snooze, and steal your heart. Lettie is equal parts silly, sweet, and snuggly and is more than ready to bring laughter, love, and puppy antics to her forever home. To apply to adopt, visit tailsofhopewi.org. Please note: donations made using the SPONSOR ME tab on PetFinder do not go to Tails of Hope-WI.

Story
Raven is a loving, silly girl with a big personality and an even bigger sense of humor. When she decides she doesn’t want to do something, she’ll dramatically flop over and roll onto her back like a toddler having a moment—an antic that never fails to make people laugh. She shows affection just as boldly, often leaning or rolling into her people for what can only be described as full-body hugs. Raven absolutely adores attention and will happily soak up ear scratches and belly rubs, and she isn’t shy about asking for more. Because of her past, Raven can take a little time to warm up to new people. Once she realizes you’re a safe person, though, you’re in for life—she bonds deeply and loves wholeheartedly. She’s dog-friendly and enjoys the company of other pups, but she does prefer to eat separately. Having her own space during mealtimes helps her feel comfortable and relaxed and is an easy, manageable routine. Raven would thrive in a home that appreciates her goofy, affectionate nature and respects her boundaries around food. In return, she’ll bring endless laughs, loyalty, and unconditional love to her future family. Adoption fee is $350+ tax, please apply at www.campcompanion.org

Story
History: Gru is a handsome boy who is our largest dog in rescue at this time. He is so kind and sweet and was released by a commercial breeding program. He hopes to find his forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: My name is Gru, and I love love. Like, really love. My favorite thing is scratches, I could get them all day long. But, that might interfere with my nap schedule…I’ll have to think more about that. When my foster parents don’t pet me enough, I lean on them and direct their hands with my gentle mouth (it’s a Dane thing). Speaking of naps, I sleep many hours each day and love my kennel. I prefer to eat and play with other dogs (it’s a social Dane thing). I’m learning to play with toys, especially cozy couch blankets and towels to make my kennel feel more at home (it’s a comfort Dane thing). My foster mom tells me that my heart, ears, lips, and brain are the same size…who am I kidding? She thinks my brain is the smallest part of me but she doesn’t realize that I’m just being me (it’s a Dane thing). Time to be serious. I am the silliest dog you may meet, taught my foster dad a game where he acts like a dog, and prefer to do things on my time. I am learning to go potty outside and walk on a leash. I’m still adjusting to a life where I have freedom and fun, and

Story
History: Poe FKA Blanc was recently returned to rescue when she was no longer a fit for her adopted home. She is in need of a cherry eye surgery that is scheduled for December. She has not been spayed yet due to holding until she is 2 years old and full grown. Her adopter will sign a spay contract and will need to commit to the potential ongoing care she as a Great Dane will require. She hopes to find her forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: Poe is a fun-loving, energetic, and incredibly cuddly gal who doesn’t let a little cherry eye dull her sparkle. She adores toys of all kinds—rope, stuffies, sticks, bones are all her jam! She also loves neighborhood walks and soaking up every bit of affection she can get. Poe is potty-trained with regular outdoor breaks and a bit of encouragement to “go potty.” She’s also crate-trained and settles down nicely after a few moments of barking. While Poe is a sweetheart with people and other dogs, she’s developing a prey drive toward her current foster’s cat, so a cat-free home would be best. She would thrive in a home with another playful dog or as the center of someone’s world. After playtime, Poe is happiest curling up next to you, gently resting her head in your lap, and snoozing the day away. She’s ready to bring joy, energy, and snuggles to her forever family!

Story
Sprinkles is a beautiful, sweet-natured girl who truly adores her humans. She is affectionate, gentle, and happiest when she’s close to the people she loves. Whether it’s quiet time at home or simply being near her favorite humans, Sprinkles thrives on connection and companionship. Over time, Sprinkles has developed reactivity with other dogs. Because our home has other dogs, this has made it increasingly difficult for her to feel comfortable and successful in our family environment. This decision comes with heavy hearts, as she is deeply loved and has brought so much joy into our lives. Sprinkles would do best as the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention she deserves and feel safe, secure, and relaxed. With patient, understanding humans who can provide structure and reassurance, she will be an incredibly loyal and loving companion. Rehoming Sprinkles is not a reflection of her worth. She is a wonderful dog who simply needs a different setting.

Story
Introducing Copper! Affectionate Gentle Playful Initially Shy Personality: Copper is a sweet Dane who may be shy at first, but once he feels safe, his affectionate and silly nature begins to shine. He’s calm, kind, and loves being included in the daily routine. A creature of habit, he thrives in consistency and finds comfort in knowing what to expect. Socialness: Copper gets along well with everyone in his foster home. He’s submissive with other dogs and respectful of their space, often waiting for them to initiate interaction. He hasn’t been around cats, so slow and structured introductions will be needed. He responds well to slow, structured introductions with new people. Due to some resource guarding around toys (which his foster has diligently been working on), older children or those with experience around large dogs would be best. Likes & Dislikes: Loves zoomies and playing with other dogs Enjoys toys, snuggling, and car rides Dislikes raised voices and nail trims Training: Copper is crate trained, housebroken, and does not destroy bedding or toys. He can comfortably be left alone during a typical 8-hour workday. He knows the commands sit, come, down, shake, and leave it. He is leash trained, incredibly smart, eager to please, and responds very well to positive reinforcement. Health: Copper is in great health with no current concerns. He does seem to have a beef sensitivity, so he’s currently on chicken-based food and treats with success. Forever Home Wishlist: A fenced yard is preferred An apartment or apartment-style setting could be fine, as he's quiet and well-mannered A family committed to continuing his progress with toy/food guarding Older children or an adult-only home Another dog companion would be a plus, especially one who matches his gentle energy If you think Copper will be a great addition to your family, please reach out to us by following one of the options below. 1.
