Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Creek… a gentle giant with a heart that’s been waiting far too long for someone to notice it. Creek is a 3-year-old Great Dane, neutered, fully vaccinated, crate and house trained, and ready to leave his past behind for good. This handsome boy came to us from Louisiana, where a busy household with lots of children, simply didn’t have the time or resources to help him thrive. As a result, Creek is currently underweight and needs to gain about 20–30 pounds to reach a healthy, strong condition. Think of him as a masterpiece still in progress… the structure is there, now he just needs the care to truly shine. Despite everything, Creek’s spirit is beautifully intact. He’s a big boy in every sense, and like many Great Danes, he can be protective of his space and his people. At times, he can be overly protective, and with a 100+ pound dog coming toward you, that can absolutely be intimidating. And if your a kid, well he can knock them over easily.  Because of this, Creek will do best with an experienced owner, ideally someone familiar with Great Danes or other giant breeds, who can provide confident leadership and guidance to help him feel secure and balanced and no children, or older children only. But beneath that watchful presence is a deeply loyal companion who is just waiting to bond with “his person.” Once you’re in his circle, you’re in for life. Creek isn’t just a handsome face, he’s got the brains to match. He knows “sit,” “down,” “shake,” and “stay,” and he’s eager to keep learning. He’s the kind of dog who watches you closely, trying to understand, trying to connect… like he’s been waiting for someone to finally show him what home feels like. One of Creek’s favorite things? Other dogs. He truly enjoys canine companionship and would love a doggy friend in his new home to help keep him entertained and build his confidence. A buddy to romp with, relax with, and remind him that life can be good. Creek is looking for a home that understands large breeds and will give him the structure, nutrition, and love he’s been missing. In return, you’ll get a devoted guardian, a soulful companion, and a couch-sized shadow who just wants to be near you. If you’re ready to help Creek write his comeback story… he’s ready to meet you. Introducing Annabelle! Affectionate Playful Loyal Easygoing Personality: Annabelle is a wonderful example of everything people love about Great Danes. She is affectionate, gentle, and deeply devoted to her people. Annabelle simply loves being involved in your daily life. She has a playful spirit and enjoys a good game with toys, but she is just as happy settling in for cuddle time. Her foster family describes her as the epitome of a Dane—loving, loyal, and happiest when she is close to her people. Socialness: Annabelle absolutely loves people and quickly wins over everyone she meets. She is even a staff favorite at the vet thanks to her sweet nature and easygoing personality. Her previous family noted that she has done well with children, and she continues to show a friendly and affectionate demeanor with everyone she meets. Annabelle has done well with other dogs and currently lives peacefully in her foster home, where she has interactions with male and female dogs. It was noted by her previous family that she struggled with interactions with an intact female dog in the household. She does not have experience with cats, so any introductions should be slow and structured. Likes: Being close to her people Cuddle time Playing with balls and squeaky toys Car rides and adventures Being pampered Nap time after play sessions No dislikes have been noted—Annabelle truly enjoys just about everything! Training: Annabelle is completely housebroken and crate trained. She has excellent leash manners and walks beautifully alongside her person. She also rides wonderfully in the car and settles in nicely for trips and outings. Her calm, well-mannered nature makes her a joy to take along on adventures. Health: Annabelle has reached her ideal weight and is in good health. Due to her age, she will not be spayed. Forever Home Wishlist: Physical fence not required Could do well in a house or apartment setting Able to be left home for a typical workday A family that enjoys a loving, involved companion Fun Fact: Annabelle believes every project needs a supervisor—and she is always ready to step in to make sure things are done with plenty of love and cuddles. Story
Hey there, I am Gordy aka Gordon (when I’m not listening) and Gordito Crunch (when my foster mama is playing with me)! I am a 5 year old Great Dane/Great Pyrenees mix. That just means I’m extra great of course! I have the Great Dane height and body but a Great Pyrenees head with the Pyrenees shedding.  I was originally surrendered as a puppy due to having special back legs. I was adopted to a wonderful family but returned back to rescue because of my sensitivity to frequent visitors. I get that from the Great Pyrenees side - I feel the need to protect my home and yard.  I love hard and love attention from my humans but don’t enjoy people I don’t know initially when they enter my home. I take my job of protecting the home seriously and need my humans to prove to me that they can control and protect the house so I don’t have to worry about it. I really respect boundaries and expectations that are presented to me by my humans!  I  graduated a 5 week board and train program  in 2023. I have strong obedience skills and am looking for a home who can hold me accountable to those skills. I know how to walk well on leash, the place command, heel, come and all of the other skills I need to be a well mannered boy. I am trained with an eCollar and a prong collar for walking. My future family should be comfortable with those training tools.  I really love to play with toys and other dog friends. I’m a total goofball but have shown resource guarding over food with other dogs. I prefer to eat my food and bones in my kennel or in a separate room from other dogs however, as I get older I am much more relaxed. I am also good with cats though have never lived with one.  I really love my kennel. I will sleep there at night, when my foster parents are gone or when there are visitors at the house. I can also be left out to free roam at night though I prefer to sleep next to my foster parents bed or in the hallway so I can keep a watchful eye on my humans.  Remember how I was surrendered as a puppy due to having special legs? Well, I still have special back legs. I was born with slightly twisted femurs so I walk a bit differently and have arthritis in my back knees. I love to run and play but can be sore after playing all day long so I occasionally take gabapentin to help. I also require daily joint supplements to help my bones stay healthy. I have a pet insurance policy that will be transferred to a potential adopter - they will be expected to continue to keep that in place after adopting me.  Foster Mama Here:Gordy is the bestest boy. We fostered him when he was a puppy as well. We do not let him greet new visitors at our house and require him to stay on his bed in a “place” while visitors are here or in his kennel. He does like to meet people slowly and at a good pace. We would walk his adoptive family through the intro process that he is successful with. Once he knows and trusts you he will forever welcome you as a family member of his.  Gordy has so much potential and loves so hard. But he will require owners who can set strict boundaries in the home and hold him accountable. His breed and genetics make him want to protect his home and people but if you a set boundaries he is such a great listener. We walk him on a prong collar and he is eCollar trained. His adopters will need to commit to continued use of these training tools and also meeting with his board and train trainer to learn about everything he knows. Gordy is muzzle trained. He is great at the groomer! Gordy loves the snow and playing outside. His favorite is his doggy pool in the summer. We have 4 other dogs in our home and he plays with all of them.  Gordy lived with kids in his first home. He was very protective over them so we do not recommend he go to a home with children under the age of 12. He could thrive in the country as he will bark when he sees humans and dogs walking by the home. ##954057##

Story
Meet Mocha – A Gentle Soul with Special Needs Mocha is a 5-year-old spayed blue Great Dane with the softest heart and one of the most trusting, gentle temperaments you’ll ever meet. She truly adores people; whether you’re family or a brand-new friend, she greets everyone with quiet affection and complete trust. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who bonds deeply with her humans, Mocha is your girl. Mocha is incredibly sweet, mild-mannered, and emotionally tender. She enjoys gentle play, short games of tug or chasing a stuffy for a few minutes at a time, but she’s not overly energetic. She is happiest being near her people and soaking up love. While Mocha is wonderful with humans, she does not enjoy high-energy, in-your-face dogs. Calm, respectful dogs with slow, structured introductions, especially senior or low-energy companions are welcomed. She gains confidence once she knows a dog.  Special Feeding Needs Mocha has a history of intestinal struggles, so her diet is extremely important. She does not need expensive prescription food, but she must remain on a very low-fat diet (5% fat or less).• She does best on soaked low-fat kibble (“mush”) paired with low-fat canned food• Food must be fully soaked for several hours or overnight• She currently eats 4–5 small meals per day• Most canned foods are too high in fat for her—only specific low-fat formulas are safe Because of her condition, Mocha will need an adopter who is committed to:• Careful food selection• Multiple daily feedings• Consistency and monitoring Home & Lifestyle NeedsMocha requires a home where someone is present most of the day to maintain her feeding and potty schedule.• She needs to go outside every 3–4 hours• While she is now housebroken and understands not to go inside, she physically cannot hold it too long• With proper water management and frequent potty breaks, she can stay accident-free Mocha is incredibly smart and resourceful, especially when food is involved, so secure food storage is a must!  The Ideal Home Mocha will thrive in a home that offers:• A calm environment• Low-energy or possibly no other dogs• A structured feeding routine• A flexible schedule for frequent potty breaks• A family that understands medical management and is ready to continue her care The Heart of It All Mocha is truly one of a kind—a soft, soulful, deeply trusting dog who just wants to love and be loved. Her needs are unique, but so is the bond she offers in return. For the right home, Mocha will be an extraordinarily loyal, gentle, and devoted companion. If you have the time, patience, and heart to give this special girl what she needs, Mocha will give you everything she has in return.  ##2627397##
