Story
Meet Lettie 🐾💖 Lettie is a tiny bundle of happy chaos and cuddles! This playful little snugglebug is always ready for toy time, couch time, or following her people around like it’s her full-time job. If joy came in puppy form, it would probably look a lot like Lettie. She’s working on potty training and crate training and is catching on fast — because being a good girl is important business (right after naps and snacks). Lettie is friendly with cats, dogs, and kids, and she is obsessed with her bestie, Dottie the one-year-old Great Dane in her foster home. Big dog, little dog — Lettie is here for it. When playtime is over, she transforms into a professional couch snuggler, ready to curl up, snooze, and steal your heart. Lettie is equal parts silly, sweet, and snuggly and is more than ready to bring laughter, love, and puppy antics to her forever home. To apply to adopt, visit tailsofhopewi.org. Story
Meet Lottie 🐾💛 Lottie is a clever little pup on a mission to steal your heart — and possibly your snacks. Smart, affectionate, and eager to please, she loves learning new tricks almost as much as she loves tasty treats (and let’s be honest… treats might win by a nose). She’s working on her crate and house training and is already making great progress. Lottie knows outside is the place to potty and is getting more comfortable with crate time each day. She’s a quick learner who truly wants to do the right thing — especially if praise or snacks are involved. Lottie is a total social butterfly and gets along wonderfully with cats, dogs, and kids. She’s been polishing her manners with a nine-year-old Great Dane in her foster home and does a great job respecting boundaries. Toys are her jam (soft toys are her absolute favorite), and she loves playing with other dogs and showing off her clever little brain. Leash walking, stairs, and crate time are still on her “things I’m mastering” list, but Lottie is learning fast and having fun every step of the way. She’s the perfect pup for a family ready to keep teaching, keep playing, and keep the snuggles coming. To apply to adopt, visit tailsofhopewi.org. Story
Raven is a very loving, silly girl with a big personality and a great sense of humor. If she decides she does not want to do something, she will dramatically lay down and roll over like a toddler, which never fails to make people laugh. She shows affection in much the same way, often rolling into her people to give what can only be described as full body hugs. Raven has a good training foundation and knows how to sit, shake, and lay down. She also responds well to hand gestures along with verbal commands. She does prefer to eat and drink separately from other dogs and does best when given her own space during mealtimes. This is an easy and manageable preference that helps her feel comfortable and relaxed. Raven would do best in a home that appreciates her goofy, affectionate nature and is willing to respect her boundaries around food. In return, she will bring lots of laughs, love, and loyalty to her future family. After a flood, Raven's family is needing to rehome her and her sister, Willow, while they rebuild their home. They have had to take on additional jobs to cover expenses, making it impossible to give the dogs the time and attention they deserve right now. Willow and Raven are both looking for a foster or foster to adopt home where they can receive stability, care, and plenty of love during this transition. Please apply at www.campcompanion.org

Story
Willow is a relatively young Mastiff Great Dane mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for her people. She is incredibly affectionate and thrives on being close to those she trusts. Cuddling is one of her favorite activities and she will happily lay on you if given the chance, making her a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys a true velcro dog. She is playful, sweet, and enjoys engaging with her people through gentle play and affection. Despite her large size, Willow often seems unaware of just how big she is and would much prefer to be a lap dog whenever possible. Willow does have shorter eyelashes that cause some eye irritation, so her eyes need to be wiped regularly to keep her comfortable. This is a simple but important part of her daily care and adopters should be prepared to stay consistent with this routine. Willow would do best in a home that appreciates a loving, affectionate dog and is comfortable providing minor ongoing care to keep her feeling her best. In return, she will offer endless love, loyalty, and plenty of cuddles. After a flood, Willow’s family is needing to rehome her and her sister, Raven, while they rebuild their home. They have had to take on additional jobs to cover expenses, making it impossible to give the dogs the time and attention they deserve right now. Willow and Raven are both looking for a foster or foster to adopt home where they can receive stability, care, and plenty of love during this transition. Please apply at www.campcompanion.org

Story
Meet Missy! Missy is a 4 year old Great Dane who is looking for a special forever home. Missy was originally pulled from a less-than-ideal breeding kennel situation in another jurisdiction, and was in foster care with a rescue group while she underwent treatment for Heartworm. She has since been cleared of Heartworm and is healthy & ready for a permanent home! (She came to us a bit underweight, but her vet check was good and she simply needed more groceries) Missy is incredibly sweet with people and loves to lean up against your legs when she's standing next to you. She rides well in the car and is very well-mannered and sweet! While Missy is not reactive in the shelter setting, unfortunately she cannot live with other pets and will need to be your one and only princess. She is potty trained and knows some basic commands. Missy is currently on eye drops for some crusty/dry eyes, an may need future treatment if the problem persists, so her adopters should be comfortable following up with their vet for any future medical needs she may have. She may have Entropion, which could require surgery, but her veterinary team wanted to recheck that after she puts on more weight. *PLEASE do research on this breed if you are not already familiar, especially with the cost of caring for/feeding these babies. They do tend to have a shorter lifespan than some of their smaller k9 relatives, but are one of the most loyal breeds out there! She is already settling in so nicely and we don't think it will take her long to settle into your home! We are doing all meet n' greets BY APPOINTMENT ONLY after an adoption application has been approved. Please fill out the following PDF Application and email to monroecountydogshelter@gmail.com https://www.co.monroe.wi.us/home/showpublisheddocument/35564 Missy is now spayed and is up to date on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $200.
