Pet Location: Wayside’s Canine Behavior Center – I`d love to show off all the cool things I’ve learned at Wayside! Please arrive at the shelter before 4pm on our open adoption days to meet me! My Friends at Wayside say: - I am from a puppy mill/hoarding situation. I will likely need extra time to adjust to home life. I have lived with other dogs but have not socialized with people. Things like walking on a leash and going through doorways can be challenging for me. Adopting me will be extremely rewarding, but I need time to learn. - I am enrolled in LIFT University and Waifs with Wisdom. LIFT University is a program for dogs to build confidence in new situations and work on managing energy. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session. - New people and things make me a little nervous. Let`s take things slow!- During my time at Wayside, I have enjoyed being around other dogs.- Chews, Kong-like feeders, puzzle toys-help to keep me entertained!- I am eligible for a Slumber Pawty, a 7-10 day in-home trial period. Please visit our website for additional information. My home needs are:- I need a home with kids 6 years old and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises.- I must meet other dogs in the home before adoption to ensure that we can be buddies.- Since I don`t know how big I am when I play, other dogs in the home need to be over 25 pounds. - Wayside recommends I go to a home that already has another playful dog to boost my confidence!- Wayside recommends no apartments or shared living spaces for me, please! - For my safety, I need to go home on an anti-slip collar called a martingale collar. For your convenience, we sell them in our retail store, Whiskers and Wags.
