Daisy is a beautiful 104-pound Great Dane with a gentle spirit and a heart as big as she is. She recently came to Boxers & Buddies when her owner could no longer provide the care she needed. While this transition has been difficult, Daisy is ready to find a family who will love her for the rest of her life.Like many Great Danes, Daisy is a loyal, affectionate companion who enjoys being close to her people. She has the calm, loving nature that makes the breed so special and is looking for a home where she can settle in and become a cherished member of the family.Daisy does have significant environmental and allergy-related medical needs that will require lifelong management. Her allergies are currently well controlled with a prescription diet, medication, and routine care. Her adopter must be committed to maintaining her treatment plan, which includes:• Prescription Hill's Hydrolyzed Diet exclusively• Zenrelia daily for allergy management ($154.34 for 30g tube Zenrelia)• Tacrolimus ointment to prevent cracking and bleeding of her nose ($98.25 for 90 tablets)• Weekly ear cleaning with Triz-Ultra + Keto ($28)These treatments have helped keep Daisy comfortable, and she deserves a family committed to continuing the care she needs to thrive. The adoption process includes an interview, home check, and meet-and-greet. All household dogs must attend the meet-and-greet. Renters must provide proof that dogs are permitted by their lease, and adopters are required to complete a training course with a certified positive reinforcement trainer.We require professional obedience training from a certified trainer for ALL adoptions.
