Micah has been returned to MAGDRL as his youthful energy and tendency towards getting over stimulated was overwhelming for his adopters. Micah is back at the kennel where he was trained and his training is being reinforced. With the correct approach and consistency, Micah will be a very good boy for the right adopter. He was at the vet recently and loved everyone there, giving kisses to anyone who came to say hello to him. He is approximately a year old now and still has growing to do, he is going to be a big boy. He plays rough and cannot be allowed to get hyped up, small corrections are all he needs when he overreacts. He can be placed with another dog but play will need to be supervised, large dogs only. He is ready for an adopter or a foster home who will continue the training that has been implemented for him so far that has been very effective in making him a manageable and cooperative adolescent. An active home is best, Micah needs an outlet for his energy level as would any young Dane. Daisy just arrived and she is beautiful! She is a little nervous meeting new people at first but warms up quickly. She will need training, she has absolutely no leash manners and she is a very tall girl. She also has LOTS of energy! She will need to be spayed before she can be placed. Augie (formerly Chico) is a special needs blind 6 month old Mastiff mix who has returned to MAGDRL and is currently getting the training he needs to be the best companion he can be. Augie was not liked by the other dogs in his previous home and would be best as an only dog or in a home with a laid back tolerant large female. Augie will be a big boy, is growing fast and loves to play play play. He is doing so well with his training, and whoever adopts him will have the support of his trainers for life. Augie is loved by anyone who meets him, he may be blind but he does not let it slow him down one bit. Please consider Augie if you love a dog with a lot of character, have big dog experience and even better if you have blind dog experience. He is going to blossom into a wonderful companion with some maturity and continued reinforcement of his training. SHe is a young dog, about 2 years old we think. She had a litter in the shelter, all puppies have since been adopted and now its her time for her home. She had an emergency spay as she developed pyometra when the puppies were only 5 weeks old. She is a great dog, up to date on all shots, and ready for her family and she has done her job already being a great mom. She is very smart and listens. She loves hanging out in the back yard, sunning herself in the grass and following her people around. She seems great with other dogs, gentle with people, about 125 lbs. She was rescued from the shelter and given up because she could no longer be cared for. She is already spayed and cherry eyes were repaired. She likes outside and loves just laying in a grass or on a comfy dog bed. She seems to bond to people quickly.
