Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application Are you old enough to remember Mr. Ed the talking horse? Finley isn’t fluent in English like Mr. Ed, but he is a talker. His greeting isn’t just a happy face and wagging tail, it’s also a “wooooo” that is sure to make you smile. HISTORY: Finley was dumped at an overcrowded shelter in Kentucky and put into a crate too small for him to stand up in. A local foster-based rescue pulled him. He spent two months with his foster family while they got to know him and to put on some needed weight then they contacted Mastiffs to Mutts Rescue to find him the perfect home. Finley is a one-year-old male Great Dane mix. Due to his age, he is not neutered and will not be for another six months, minimum. PERSONALITY: Finley is at the most wonderful age; old enough to be potty trained and young enough to be a puppy. A 115-pound puppy. He is happy, calm, friendly, playful and cuddly. He easily goes into his crate to eat and sleep but prefers to be with his housemates, both canine and human. His eyes are expressive, and his “wooooo” will clear up any confusion on how he is feeling. You’ll smile every time you hear it which will make his tail way even harder. FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: Finley enjoys playing with his Great Dane foster sister followed by a relaxing antler gnawing session or a nap. He really enjoys people and is very curious about anything that’s happening around him. Butt scratches, ear rubs and chilling with his family are also highlights of his day. MEDICAL ISSUES: Finley will need to be neutered at 18 months or after. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME: Finley looks like an adult, but he is a puppy and needs to be treated and trained as a puppy. He does not have social graces around other animals, so any animals already in the house will need to be comfortable with a large puppy. As for Finley, he loves to meet new dogs and will immediately ask them to play. Because of his calm, friendly nature Finley would be good for a family new to having a giant breed dog in their home. He’d love to have children or dogs to play with, but he’d be just as happy with adults.Click here to watch a video of Finley.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Homes with highly varnished floors must have non-slip area rugs or mats wherever your animal walks or rests frequently.  **Puppy Adoption Policy** To ensure proper house training and socialization, puppies will only be adopted to homes where an adult will not be away more than an hour per day, per month of age of the puppy, up to 6 months. Certain large-breed dogs should not be sterilized prior to 12 - 18 months of age.  If you adopt an intact puppy, you will sign an adoption contract agreeing to have the dog sterilized at your expense at the time your veterinarian recommends. Proof of sterilization must be provided to Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue as soon as the procedure is completed.  If the puppy is not sterilized as required, Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue reserves the right to claim legal ownership of the dog.  For additional information please review our FAQs or contact mastiffstomutts@gmail.com **Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue reserves the right to approve or deny any adoption that occurs through this organization without disclosure.  We reserve the right to make exceptions for special circumstances. **PA Kennel License: 05845   December 6, 2025, 12:39 pm

Story
Bruno is a 4 year old black neutered male with natural ears. He is a big guy and a bigger baby. Bruno was given up with his brother when a child in the home became allergic to them. Bruno needs time to acclimate to new people and new dogs but once he does he's a total mush. He is definitely a velcro Dane and will follow you everywhere, if you let him he will crawl up to lay on top of you, all 165 lbs of him. He has a hard time maneuvering in small places so he will back up as he cannot turn around easily. Bruno walks beautifully on a leash, is house trained and rides well in the car. He was afraid of his Dane foster sister at first and would bark and growl if she came close, but within a few hours they were absolutely fine together. They look like twins, she's his mirror image. Bruno will do best in a home that will continue to work on building his confidence and who will give him all the love and affection he seeks and deserves. Bruno came to MAGDRL in November 2025 Please include your home area code and a phone number where a volunteer can reach you when contacting us about adoption For more info on this dog and our adoption policies, visit MAGDRL at https://www.magdrl.org. Story
Faith is a approximately 10 month old male black Dane with natural ears. Faith is a lovable hot mess with a heart of gold! He's is that awkward middle school crush who grew into a total hearthrob, and he's still got the same goofy soul you fell for. With ears to big for his head (he will grow into them), legs that haven't quite figured out how to coordinate, and a bark that surprises even him, Faith is a walking comedy show wrapped in unconditional love. He's clumsy, quirky and sleeps like he's auditioning for a yoga class, but don't let the chaos fool you. Faith is pure gold inside. He's the kind of dog who'll be your shadow, your comfort and your biggest fan. And when it comes to other dogs, Faith is a lover through and through. He greets every pup like a long lost friend and doesn't quite understand why anyone woudn't want to play. His heart is open, his tail is wagging and his friendship is persistent in the most endearing way. here> One day he will grow into those flying nun ears, gangly limbs and become the majestic Great Dane he's meant to be. And when he does, you'll be the lucky one holding the leash, wondering how you ever lived without him. Faith is house trained, he is learning leash manners and he is crate trained and rides well in the car. Training will be a condition of his adopton contract. Faith has been diagnosed with OCD and needs surgery on his shoulder. He is incredibly sweet and very stoic but he is currently living with pain. We want to do everything possible to help Faith live a full and active life painfree. Please consider donating to Faith's care, he is so deserving, he is such a wonderful boy. Story
Fern is a 6 year old blue female with natural ears who came in from a shelter after being retrieved from a hoarder. She was in rough shape when she got to the shelter but they did a great job of getting her vetted and putting some weight on her. She is learning to be house trained in her foster home. She is crate trained. She walks well on a leash and loves her walks. Fern does have some wounds on two of her feet that are still healing and will take some time to heal. She is not available yet for adoption as we need to see these wounds close up more before she can go on to a forever home. Fern also has scar tissue on her muzzle, it looks like she has a black mask but there is no fur and it will probably never grow back. It doesn’t take away from what a pretty girl she is. Fern was extremely fearful when she first came in to rescue, but with love and care she is slowly learning to trust her foster family. We can’t wait to see her blossom into the beautiful and loving companion she was meant to be. Please include your home area code and a phone number where a volunteer can reach you when contacting us about an adoption. Story
Cooper is a 2 year old black Great Dane with natural ears who needs a foster or adoptive home. He is being given up by his family because he doesn't do well with a new baby in the home. Cooper is a big boy, sweet and loving with his owners and visiting adults. He loves to play with his toys and knows the commands: sit, down, leave it and come. He is crate trained and good in the car, he loves car rides. He will also respect a baby gate. Cooper does not go on the furniture. Cooper is anxious around other dogs and needs work on the leash when out and sees another dog. He will do best as an only pet or will need very slow integration with another large and calm canine in the house. He is good with older children. Cooper would love a fenced yard to exercise and get out his energy. He is neutered and gastropexied. Please consider giving Cooper a loving home. Dogs no Children 12+ Cats no small animals

She had a litter in the shelter,  all puppies have since been adopted and now its her time for her home.  She had an emergency spay as she developed pyometra when the puppies were only 5 weeks old.  She is a great dog, up to date on all shots, and ready for her family and she has done her job already being a great mom. She is very smart and listens. She loves hanging out in the back yard, sunning herself in the grass and following her people around. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 16, 2025, 10:35 am
