Hi, I’m Stevie; I work in Logistics, but really my specialty is learning how to feel safe again. I didn’t have the easiest start. When I first came to the shelter, I was pretty shut down and unsure of the ne environment. Everything felt different and I didn’t know if I could trust yet. But the people here have been patient with me, and little by little, I’ve started to come out of my shell. I’m getting better at walking on a leash, and practicing basic commands. I love being in the yard where I can run around, stretch my legs, and just be a dog. Playtime is one of my favorite things, right after snuggling, I will happily curl up next to you and soak up all the comfort I can get. I’m a gentle girl at heart, I have kind eyes and a big soft soul. I don’t need much, just patience, love, and someone who sees how special I am becoming.

He’s a little shy at first (being a knighted academic can do that to you) and he’s had a bit of a tough start but he’s a very quick study. Beneath that gentle, cautious exterior is a wonderfully curious soul who’s amazed by a world he’s not yet gotten to explore. Every new sound, smell, and experience is a fascinating research opportunity for this good boy. Doc approaches life like a scholar—carefully, thoughtfully, and with frequent snack breaks. And let’s be clear: he is a snack-a-saurus of the highest order. Treats are his love language, followed closely by naps and leaning his entire, literal-horse-sized body against you for reassurance. Once he trusts you, Doc transforms into a huge cuddle bug who believes personal space is optional and laps are a state of mind. He’ll happily keep you warm, keep you company, and keep you smiling with his soft eyes and sweet, goofy presence. Doc is looking for a patient, kind human. One who can learn with him and show him that the world is safe, cozy, and filled with snacks. In return, he promises loyalty, love, and a massive cuddle companion.
