Meet Max: The 90lb Lap Dog You Didn't Know You Needed! Hi there! I’m Max, a big, goofy, high-energy Lab looking for my forever adventure buddy. I absolutely love people—like, "I haven't met you yet, but I already love you" kind of love! Toys are my other passion, especially if they squeak or make me run fast. I’m still learning that I’m not actually a tiny lap dog, so I might accidentally knock over a lamp with my happy tail (oops!). I’m super food-motivated, which means I’m a quick learner when treats are involved, but I definitely need some work on my basic manners and commands. I'm currently learning about other dogs and how to play nicely, so I’m looking for a patient home that will guide me on this journey. If you have an active lifestyle and a big heart, I’m ready to be your loyal, silly best friend! Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. Story
Meet Joey – the gentle giant with a nose for adventure, a big heart, and a whole lot to say! Joey is an extra-large, incredibly smart guy who’s sure to turn heads wherever he goes. With his impressive height and striking eyes, people might even do a double-take — “Is that a dog... or a horse?” Despite his towering presence, Joey is pretty well-mannered… most of the time. When he’s feeling stubborn, though, he’s got a cheeky little streak that says, “Oh, you want me to do that? Hmm… let me think about it!” But don’t worry—he’s mostly a good sport, especially when treats are involved! He’s mastered commands like ‘Sit,’ ‘Down,’ and ‘Paw,’ and walks nicely on a leash most of the time—except when his powerful hound nose catches an irresistible scent. Then, all bets are off as he follows his curious sniffer! Joey isn’t just a big guy—he’s also quite the chatterbox and loves to talk back to his humans, sharing his thoughts and keeping the conversation lively. This big boy comes with a big personality to match. Joey loves to tease you by placing his toys just out of reach, giving you those wide, expectant eyes until you grab it to play. With his long arms and big, playful paws, he’s a pro at batting toys out of your hand and chasing them down for endless games of fetch. If you’re looking for nonstop entertainment and a smile-maker, Joey’s your guy! Joey has enjoyed positive experiences with other dogs and might do well with the right canine companion, but he’s also happy being your one and only. He’s best suited for a moderately active home that will keep him busy with fetch sessions and plenty of mental challenges. A true ball enthusiast, Joey can play fetch as long as you’re willing to throw! Call the Ranch today to meet this lovable giant and add some big-hearted fun—and conversation—to your life! Meet Monty – The Complete Package with a Heart of Gold! Say hello to Monty, a dapper young gentleman who truly lives up to his name — the whole kit and caboodle wrapped into one handsome, athletic package! If you’re searching for a smart, friendly, and loyal companion who’s ready to become your adventure partner and best friend, Monty might just be your perfect match. Monty’s journey hasn’t always been easy. He came from a challenging background, having experienced an abusive home early in life. Since April 2022, Monty has been patiently waiting at the shelter for his forever family, hoping to find a loving home where he can finally settle and thrive. When he first arrived, all Monty wanted to do was hug the staff members — as if thanking them for keeping him safe and loved. Through it all, his loving spirit and deep affection for people have never wavered. This sweet boy approaches everyone he meets with a wagging tail and a warm heart, eager to make new friends and share his joy. With a moderate energy level, Monty strikes a wonderful balance — he’s lively enough to keep up with hikes, runs, and outdoor adventures, yet calm enough to relax and cuddle when the day winds down. His athleticism shines through in his graceful movements and enthusiasm for playtime. Monty is a quick learner who already knows Sit and Down, and he walks politely on leash, making every walk an enjoyable outing for both of you. When Monty greets you, his excitement can be contagious! He tends to bounce with joy, thrilled to see you, but he quickly settles down once he knows he has your full attention. Monty is a true people-pleaser, always striving to earn your approval and shower you with love. Socially, Monty is a superstar. He thrives in the company of medium to large dogs, sharing space with his furry friends gracefully and happily. He’s also great with kids, showing a gentle side that makes him a perfect fit for families of all ages. And if you love road trips, you’ll be delighted to know Monty is a fan of car rides — he’s ready to join you wherever the road takes you! Despite his size, Monty is a gentle giant at heart. His kind demeanor and respectful nature make him an ideal companion for a wide range of households, especially those who appreciate a dog with both brains and heart. If you’re ready to open your home and heart to a remarkable dog who’s as loving as he is athletic, don’t wait! Call the Ranch today to meet Monty and start your new adventure together!
