Meet Ruby! Ruby is a gorgeous 4-year-old, roughly 80-pound Great Dane mix who came into rescue after being found as a stray and brought to a shelter. Ruby has settled into foster life beautifully and getting more comfortable by the day. She’s a sweet, gentle girl who loves being close to her people, and by “close,” we mean leaning her entire 80-pound body against you whenever possible.Ruby also LOVES toys. When she finds something she loves, she’ll happily prance around showing off her treasure and even break out a few adorable spins when she’s feeling especially playful. She is currently living with another dog and doing wonderfully. Ruby is attentive to her foster sister, enjoys having her nearby, and seems happiest being part of a little pack. Ruby would love a forever home with a compatible dog friend to keep her company.Rubys foster describes her as an incredibly good girl with a beautiful, gentle soul. Around the house, Ruby is a wonderfully laid-back lady. She’s house-trained, rarely barks, and has quickly discovered the finer things in life: soft beds, long naps, and stretching out until she is taking up as much space as a Great Dane possibly can. At night, she loves sleeping at the foot of her foster’s bed, perfectly content just being near her people.If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing gentle giant who will lean on you, make you laugh, proudly parade her toys around the house, and happily snooze nearby, Ruby may be your girl. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, I’m Hoffman, a handsome 1.5-year-old Great Dane mix and a certified gentle giant! At 71 pounds, I have a whole lot of love to give—and I’m pretty sure I was designed specifically for couch cuddles. I absolutely love everyone I meet. People? Men, women, kids. I love them all. I do love to lean on my people so I may accidentally knock a little one over but never intentionally. Attention? Yes, please. Do you love kisses, great, me too?!? Couch? Absolutely! I love to cuddle too.   I’m potty trained and crate trained, and I’m a very good boy when my foster parents have to work. I can tolerate being in my crate for 8+ hours while they’re working, although, if given the choice, I’d much rather be lounging on the couch waiting for my people to come home. I love walks, but my leash skills could use some work. I’m also great with other dogs! I currently live with a husky, and we do so well together. I’ve never met a cat, so my compatibility with feline friends is unknown. I’m the kind of dog who just wants to be near my people, soak up some love, and enjoy the good life.
