Story
He’s a lovable goof. When he wants you to pet him, he’ll come up to you, rub up against you and you’ll fall over if you don’t have your balance haha. He’s gentle, I’ve never seen him bite, not any person nor animal. He’s not needy. He obeys. He barks at people coming onto the property like any dog, so he’s protective or territorial. He’s not picky with his food. He loves to ride in the car. He needs a loving home for the last bit of his life!

Story
Nina is a stunning 1-year-old Great Dane/hound mix with a heart as big as her paws! This sweet, 60-pound girl is still filling out and should be closer to 70 pounds - but what she already has in abundance is love, loyalty, and a wonderfully goofy personality. Nina is a people pleaser through and through, and with no time at all you'll see her blossom into a playful, affectionate companion. She is happiest when she's right by your side! As soon as she gets to know you, her fun-loving spirit shines—whether she’s rolling around in the grass, chasing toys, or soaking up belly rubs. She's house trained, crate trained, and walks beautifully on a leash with loose-leash manners. While she may get a bit excited when passing new people or dogs, she sticks close to her person and looks to you for reassurance. Nina would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where she can stretch out in the sunshine, explore, and entertain herself with toys. She has a medium-high energy level and would love daily walks or adventures, but she's just as happy to relax and cuddle after a little exploration. She does great with dogs, but medium to large would be best due to her size, and would likely do best in a home with older kids due to her size and enthusiastic nature. Nina has come so far learning manners and basic commands, is eager to please and is making amazing progress each day and would love a home to keep her on the right track. Nina may have experienced some food insecurity in the past and can be protective of her meals, but she does great when fed in her crate and continues to improve with consistency and structure. What truly makes Nina special is her deep devotion to her people. She loves nothing more than gazing into your eyes, leaning into you for pets, and soaking up every bit of affection she can get. Her joyful, loving nature is contagious, and she brings light and laughter wherever she goes.If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and devoted companion, Nina might just be your perfect match! To meet Nina, please complete an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200.
