Meet Steve! - Steve is about 5 months old and weighs 45 lbs. We guess Steve is a Pitbull/Terrier Mix (Just a Guess as we have no idea on mom or dad).
Steve is happy boy who loves to play with the German Shepherd in his foster home. Steve will need another young and playful dog in his forever home. He is amazing with other dogs and very sweet. He is a smart boy with a real excitement for learning. Steve already knows sit, lay down, shake, off, and back. He enjoys running and sniffing around the backyard and is also a big fan of squeaky toys. His favorite game is fetch. Steve is in a foster home with cats and does well with them. Steve follows his foster mom everywhere and is an expert at snuggling. Steve is doing great on his house and crate training. If you are looking for a happy go lucky addition to your family, Steve is your pup.
Because he is a puppy, he will require an adopter who is home a good portion of the day to continue his/her training—no exceptions.
Steve is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped and will need to be neutered at the age of 6 months. The Adoption Fee for this puppy $400.00.
***Please note, this pup's immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age and therefore, s/he is not suited for Apartment/Condo living or Town homes without a private fenced yard and will not be able to go to public places where s/he could possibly be exposed to the germs of unvaccinated dogs, such as PetSmart/PetCo and dog parks until s/he is 16 weeks old***

The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process.
***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many!
***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.***
