Story
Winston embodies the word DOG. This stunning gentleman is a 11-month-old, 83 lb Labrador & Pyrenees mix. He arrived at our shelter from a wonderful home who raised him and socialized him around dogs and cats. Winston has had limited interactions with kids and due to size may be best in a home who have Dog Savy kids. He's friendly and outgoing but just a lot of dog! Winston was surrendered due to a change in job status and his owner stated he absolutely needs room to run; an apartment is not an ideal living situation for him unless you are an outdoorsman. Winston can be a little destructive if left alone inside too long. But he's used to sleeping in bed with the owner, so scootch over! Bottom line Winston is a sweetheart of a dog, but he's going to need an owner who can train, guide and coach him to the level of obedience we all desire for our dogs. He knows a few things but developing a good routine for daily training, socializing and exercise are a must for this good boy! Winston always gets along with other dogs. He hasn't lived with cats before, but the owner thinks he would do just fine. Winston loves to go to the ocean and road trips are his favorite. Come and meet him at Butte Humane Society. 13391 Garner Lane in Chico CA 530-343-7917 All dogs that are adopted from Butte Humane Society come microchipped, spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, placed on preventions for heartworm, and flea and tick-borne illnesses.
