Story
Meet Floyd – A Big-Hearted Gentle Soul Floyd is a sweet, sensitive boy with a heart full of love — he’s just waiting for the right person to share it with. A naturally gentle soul, Floyd needs a little time and patience to feel safe, but once he bonds with you, it’s a connection that runs deep. He’s the kind of dog who will be by your side through thick and thin, offering loyalty, love, and endless cuddles. Despite his larger size, Floyd is convinced he’s a lap dog. He absolutely lives for cuddle time and will happily stretch out across your lap, soaking up as much affection as he can get. He’s affectionate, tender, and thrives on close, loving relationships with his people. Floyd also enjoys the company of other dogs — especially larger, confident female dogs who help him feel secure and balanced. Because he can be a bit anxious when left alone, a home with another steady canine companion is highly recommended. In his previous home, Floyd lived with cats, but he has shown some chase drive around them. Because of this, he may be able to live with a feline companion only with a confident, experienced handler who can manage proper introductions and set clear boundaries. Floyd is looking for a calm, patient home that will let him come out of his shell at his own pace and give him the comfort of consistency, companionship, and lots of love. In return, he’ll give you unwavering devotion and the best snuggles you’ve ever had. Call the Ranch today to schedule a meet-and-greet — Floyd is ready to find the person (or people) who will mean the world to him. Read Floyd's Dog of the Week post here:  https://rrdog.org/dw/meet-floyd/ Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. While they are with us, each and every rescue dog receives the best of care in a loving and nurturing environment. Their routines include daily playgroups or partnering with dog buddies, quality time walking or being groomed, and two meals a day with dog biscuits for dessert. All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.  The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies )  APPLY NOW       October 21, 2025, 5:39 pm
