Great Pyrenees Anatolian Shepherd

Male, Adult
Saint Augustine, FL
Size
(when grown) X-Large 101 lbs (46 kg) or more
Details
Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
UTD on shots, he had a history of food aggression, we went from 3 acres in Michigan to a townhouse in Florida. His breed is known for barking and protecting the house, and that’s definitely what he’s good at. He likes our children but I wouldn’t recommend he be around other children because of the protective issues. He’s older and pretty lazy. One short walk a day (or outside yard time if you have a yard) is enough for him. He’s good with dogs after a proper introduction. He can’t have food around other dogs. He’s 125 pounds so you need to be able to control him on walks (his harness works great). He’s good in his cage. We just want a home for him that can appreciate him and his breed characteristics. Living with kids/neighbors in this community and a ton of dogs he barks at all day is just not the right environment. He does have fatty tumors, but that’s normal for his age the vet said.

Story
Rosie is a wonderful dog. She loves people (no stranger danger). She is gentle with children and animals. Does good with other dogs. She’s been in the family since she was puppy. She would love a family that is low-key. She isn’t high energy and prefers to lay in the yard watching the children play. She was a farm dog and did well with chickens but now she prefers humans to watch over. I would love for her to go to a family with children.
