You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Juniper: The Sweet, Loyal Companion You’ve Been Waiting For! Looking for a gentle giant to brighten your days? Juniper, our beautiful spayed female Great Pyrenees, is waiting for her forever home, and she just might be the perfect fit for you! Juniper and her sister Daisy were both adopted out in 2021, but due to changes in living situations with their previous adopters, they came back to us in mid-2024. While Daisy was adopted again in spring 2024, Juniper’s journey continued, and now she’s ready to find her true forever family. Juniper is the ideal blend of independence and affection. Whether she’s keeping watch over the yard, strolling the fence line like the natural protector she is, or cuddling up on the couch for some quality snuggle time, Juniper knows how to make you feel loved. Her gentle and devoted nature makes her a wonderful companion, and she’s always eager to be near her humans, offering up cuddles and comfort whenever you need them. What Makes Juniper Special: Cuddler Extraordinaire: Juniper is a total lovebug, happiest when she’s surrounded by her people. She’s a natural at giving love, making her the perfect cuddle buddy. Dog-Friendly: She’s easygoing around other dogs of all shapes and sizes, making her a great addition to any home with canine companions. Protective & Loyal: As a Great Pyrenees, Juniper has an innate instinct to protect, always keeping a watchful eye on her family while maintaining a calm, loving demeanor. Adventurer at Heart: Juniper has been great in a crate and on the bed of a truck with a topper when her foster mom is out skiing. She’s also been off-leash at the ski hill and done amazing so far, staying close to the house and never straying. Juniper simply loves being near her people! While Juniper is a true protector, she does experience separation anxiety and can use some extra reassurance when left alone. She can also be a little protective of her treats and could benefit from gentle guidance with resource guarding. With some patience and positive training, Juniper will continue to blossom into the well-rounded companion we know she can be! Juniper is seeking a calm, loving environment where she can thrive — whether it’s watching over the yard, enjoying quiet moments with her family, or joining in on adventures. She would do best in a home that can offer her the patience, attention, and security she needs to feel truly at home. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and easygoing companion, Juniper might just be the perfect fit. She’s currently in foster care in Helena, eagerly awaiting her forever family. If you're ready to welcome this sweet, gentle girl into your life, Juniper is ready to shower you with love!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 14, 2025, 2:14 pm

Ty is wonderful with our kids. He is also great with cats, often letting them lay and sleep with him. He can be silly and loves to be around us and to be pet and played with. While he is sweet, he is very good at letting the crying coyotes know he's in charge. We've have heard them at different times, but we've never seen them when he's on patrol. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet June- Big and fluffy, June is a sight to behold. She is quiet and laid back, and true to her breed. As an LGD, June loves to be outside, patrolling her yard and keeping her family safe. June has a history of chasing livestock, so we do not recommend her going to a farm or ranch. She wants to be the only dog and love on her people. We are unsure about her feelings on cats. June is reserved when meeting new people, and because of her size and shy nature, we recommend older kids for her. She will need a fenced yard to keep her safe and at home. June also seems to be house trained. We recommend a family who has experience with larger dogs and who can help her come out of her shell. Every animal adopted from Flathead County Animal Shelter is altered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, dewormed and microchip. Please call 406-752-1310 to meet June. https://flathead.mt.gov/department-directory/animal/adoptions/adoptable_dogsVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 5, 2025, 2:41 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Pecan: The Gentle Giant with a Heart of Gold! If you're looking for a big-hearted, lovable goofball with a lot of potential, look no further than Pecan! This handsome Akbash/Great Pyrenees mix is just over a year old, UTD on vaccines, neutered and ready to find his forever home. With his majestic size and sweet demeanor, Pecan is a true gentle giant in the making – but he’s got a few quirks to work through, and we know the perfect person can help him shine even brighter! A Little About Pecan: Pecan is a smart, eager-to-please boy who has already shown he’s a quick learner! In just an hour with a trainer, he mastered sit, leave it, stay, leash control, and even heel! His intelligence and drive to learn will make training with him an enjoyable experience, especially with someone patient and consistent. He’s got the potential to be an amazing companion! Pecan’s Personality: While Pecan is a sweetheart, he does have a little bit of resource guarding when it comes to food, water, and toys. This is something we’re working on, and he’ll need an adopter who is committed to helping him through this. With the right guidance, we know he’ll overcome it and become even more confident and secure in his new home. Pecan is also a bit of a rough-and-tumble player! He loves his canine pals but doesn’t always understand his own strength. His playstyle can be a bit much for some dogs, so he’ll do best in a home with a confident dog who’s okay with a little rough housing. Pecan’s Perfect Home: If you’re a patient, dog-savvy person with a love for big dogs and an enthusiasm for training, Pecan just might be the perfect fit for you! He’s currently being kenneled at Old Farm Kennels in Florence, MT, but he’s available for overnights, fosters, or walks to get to know him better before taking him home. He’s ready to show you just how sweet and smart he is – all he needs is the right person to help him reach his full potential. Are you the one? Pecan is waiting for you!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 5, 2025, 1:58 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.GOOD WITH KIDS, CATS, FARM ANIMALS. NOT AN LGD - HOUSE PET!  Meet Archie: The Sweet Survivor Ready to Find His Forever Home! Meet Archie, a brave and gentle Great Pyrenees mix who’s ready to start a new chapter in life! Archie’s journey hasn’t been an easy one, but this resilient boy is now on the mend and eager to find a family that will give him all the love he deserves. Archie was pulled from a high-kill shelter in California after being hit by a car. When we first rescued him, he showed some pain-related aggression due to his injuries. But since being away from the shelter and given the care he needed, he’s made a full recovery and hasn’t exhibited any of that behavior since. He’s a sweet, calm guy who is now ready to move forward and find a forever family! What Makes Archie Special: A Survivor: Archie’s resilience speaks volumes about his spirit. After being through so much, he’s come out the other side stronger, ready to trust, and full of love. Sweet & Affectionate: He’s a gentle giant who loves to be around people and enjoys his car rides. He’s calm and well-behaved, making him a perfect companion for your travels. Good with Other Dogs: Archie gets along well with both male and female dogs. He’s still learning about his new world, but he’s shown that he can coexist peacefully with other dogs and is always up for a play session or nap. Cat Testing This Week: We’re still getting to know Archie and will be testing him with cats this week, so stay tuned for updates! Archie is currently being fostered in Big Fork, MT, and once he’s neutered, he’ll be ready for adoption! He’s up to date on his vaccinations, but his neuter surgery is the final step before he can go home with his forever family. Archie is looking for a patient, loving home where he can continue to heal and thrive. He deserves a family who will provide him with the care, support, and love that will make him feel safe and cherished. If you’re looking for a big, sweet boy who’s ready to give all his love, Archie just might be the perfect fit for you! We can’t wait for him to find his forever home and show you how much love he’s got to offer! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Birdie - Your Future Best Friend! Birdie is a sweet, 1-year-old Great Pyrenees mix who has had a rough start but is now making strides toward a brighter future. She was surrendered back to the breeder, who didn't want her either, and spent most of her early life contained in a chicken coop. But don’t let that tough beginning fool you—Birdie has a heart of gold and is ready to embrace a life full of love, training, and playtime! Although she came to us with zero training, Birdie is making amazing progress in her foster home. She's quickly learning basic commands like “sit” and “leave it” and is getting the hang of house training. She learned within just one day that pottying inside is a no-no, but a little patience will be needed if she transitions to a new home, as she may need a refresher. Birdie is also working on crate training and getting comfortable with her safe space. While she’s still a bit of a curious puppy, she’s adjusting well and loves getting attention from her foster family. However, if left alone, she could be a bit destructive, so she’ll need an adopter or foster who is ready to work with her on these behaviors and help her grow into the well-behaved companion we know she can be. Birdie has been spayed, and she’ll be ready for her forever home after she heals up from her spay surgery on January 16th. She was originally raised with cats, so we were hopeful that she’d get along with the cats in her foster home. Unfortunately, she’s been a bit territorial, growling and charging at them during slow introductions. However, with patience, training, and love, we believe she could learn to live peacefully with feline friends, just like she did before. Birdie is good with both male and female dogs as long as there are slow introductions. She’s a social girl and enjoys the company of other dogs, but a careful and gradual introduction will help her feel comfortable and build those positive relationships. Birdie is sweet, loving, and eager to please, but she needs someone who is ready to invest in training and help her overcome the puppy challenges she’s facing. She also does well in the car, making her the perfect travel companion on your next adventure! She does require a 6-foot fence to keep her safe and secure, as she’s still learning the boundaries of her new world. If you’re ready to work with a sweet girl who’s eager to learn and grow, Birdie might just be the perfect match for you! Stay tuned for her availability after her spay surgery on January 16th. If you think you can give Birdie the patience, love, and guidance she needs, reach out to us today!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 7, 2025, 5:30 pm
