Story
Tanny is a gentle giant, about 80 pounds currently but still needs to gain weight. He was found as a stray and taken to a local shelter and placed into a run with two other large dogs. He stopped eating there and a wonderful woman who was following his story just knew she had to save him. She then contacted us as a foster to now find his forever home. Tanny is excellent on the leash, house trained, crate trained and very eager to please. He likes to run and play with other dogs and share space with his human companions. He does need a secure yard and would like to live with another friendly and playful dog. PACA is a Foster-Based Rescue with no shelter. We have adoption clinic on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 11a-2pm at 6300 San Mateo (along the grass next to Academy Rd) in the southern end of the Spouts Market parking lot volunteer staffing/weather permitting. We can also make arrangements for a Private Meet-and-Greet with the foster parent and your household with approved applications. You can complete and easy online application here: https://form.jotform.com/222028369049155 The $250 adoption fee covers S/N, microchip, vaccines and heartworm/tic borne illness testing.

WANTED: Humans who are seeking the love of a big dog. Not quite extra large, but larger than average! These humans around here guess that I’m a Great Pyrenees mix of some sort, because that’s my size & I have some guardian dog tendencies. Things you should know: ✅ I am big, but gentle. ✅ I don’t love other dogs. Can I have a forever home where I can just be your one and only? ✅ I’m kind of naughty. I know how to climb chainlink. I see no issue here, but my rescue peeps say I need a hope with block walls or wood fencing so I can’t climb them. *sigh* ✅I haven’t met a kitty, but there’s a higher than average chance I’m not good with them, so no kitties. It’s best for everyone! My name is Buddy, and I am super sweet. I learned all the good stuff in the PAWS program, and I am 100% ready to come love you with all of my heart. If you think we’re a perfect match, please fill out an adoption application here: www.viva-nm.org My adoption fee is $250 and that includes all the vet care and training I got in the PAWS program. If I’m not The One for you, please SHARE me! Maybe one of your friends will fall in love?

Story
Gentle giant Ida is roughly 6 1/2 years old, 90lbs. She came into the shelter as a stray so not sure of her history or if she was a working dog. Shes been with me for a year and a half. Very social, sweet to everyone , gentle and boundaried. She does well with my elderly cat, was great with the elderly miniature poodle that lived here when she arrived as well as with a friends year old baby. She's had blood work and xrays recently and is in good health, I was told her hips looked great! UTD on shots. She is indoor/outdoor but really likes to be outside, is fairly low energy, loves the dog park. Knows basic commands, decent on leash. not destructive indoors, is housebroken. She is scared of fireworks/gunshots so needs someone who will keep her safe, loved and secure. She would do well with another dog(s) who knows the ropes. Ida is a loving, gorgeous girl, my dream dog really but my health is making it progressively harder to give her the life she needs.

Story
Meet Charybdis!!! She is most lovable girl around. Her large size is nothing compared to her large heart. She does well with other dogs and loves people. She walks very well on a leash as she stays by your side the whole time. She does well with kids and is looking for her forever home. She would need a large yard or a good walk to keep her active and busy. Otherwise she is the best cuddle buddy. For more information please visit our main ranch location or email dogswmr@gmail.com
