Story
Brody is a sweet handsome boy who loves to play. We’ve had him for 8 months and he has been a very sweet addition to our family. We are heartbroken to part ways with him but we’ve thought long and hard and we feel he would be happiest in a home with other dogs and we don’t have the bandwidth to adopt another. When Brody came to us he was in rough shape. He had been found in a coyote trap and rescued by a shelter. He had been with his foster for 5 months when we adopted him. He had heart worms and was very timid. He has now finished his heart worm treatment and his true personality has been able to shine through. He loves playing with a ball and can even throw it for himself! He loves playing with other dogs and does extremely well at doggy daycare. If Brody is left alone without another dog or human around he gets very anxious and can even damage the house or hurt himself so we have been staying with him or arranging doggy daycare 24/7. We love him dearly, but we are not the right fit.

Story
Hello, My name is Ranger. I had a tough life in the beginning. I didn't have a dog house, i barely had shelter. I had a box truck parked in my small fenced in area that i could hide under. I shared my small lot with chickens and a few female Pyrenees. My previous owner didn’t feed us enough so i ate her chickens. So i am not good with chickens. She got mad and got rid of me. I am a AKC registered Great Pyrenees, my new mom didn’t get the papers from my previous owner though. I came to my new mom 40lbs under weight. I now weigh 120lbs, i am at a healthy weight now. I prefer to be a couch potato now, mom lets me in the backyard and i lay at the door waiting on her to let me back in. I love attention. I love strolls but know i am very slow. I am great on a leash and i love car rides. I do escape fences within minutes so i need a 6ft privacy fence. I am good with female dogs.I am very loving and loyal. My new mom has a 8 month old and doesn’t have enough time to give me the attention i need

Story
Meet Ben, who is four. Ben came to us extremely emaciated, in pretty bad shape weighing only 39 lbs. ( he is now 85 lbs.) . His human had tried and tried to get him to gain weight, get healthy but with no success. We got him, had several tests run, noticed how fast he ate his food. We put him on a special ID diet, started using slow feeder bowls, and fed him small meals several times a day. After many many tests, much medication, and special food, he started to gain weight. He has now gotten adjusted to regular food. He may always need a bowl to slow down his eating but he looks great and is a happy boy. Ben is good with other dogs. He is a little dominant but does well with both male and female dogs. He did have a quick encounter with a cat, but not long enough to say 100 percent, but he did not do anything but sniff the kitty. We would recommend no small kids only because of Ben's size and we are still working on getting him not to jump up and hug you. While it looks sweet, he could knock someone down accidentally. If you think Ben may be your boy, please read on and fill out the on line application. RECOMMENDATIONS & PROCEDURES Please note, the following are recommendations for puppies and different breeds of dogs. We will evaluate each application on an individual basis to see what is best for the dog/puppy and the potential adopter. Puppies are very fragile and not toys. We recommend children be at least six years old to be considered to adopt a puppy. Small breed dogs ( such as chihuahuas, yorkies, shih tzus , etc) we recommend children be at least eight years old. Herding, working breeds we recommend children to be at least 12 years old. Again these are recommendations. Adoption Procedures: We will travel up to two hours ( one way) to do physical home visits and we do not do virtual home visits. ( we are in Cleveland County NC) Most of our dogs come from bad situations and we want to know where their forever home is going to be. While we do not require fencing on all dogs, certain dogs that need a fenced in yard, will not be adopted unless potential adopter has one. We also adopt some dogs to people who live in apartments ( as long as the landlord approves) but not all dogs. We do not adopt to anyone under 21 years of age. We also do not feel college students are the best fit for most of our dogs. Most of our dogs again, come from bad situations and need lots of attention. Most college students have financial responsibilities and we feel need to be focused on school. Our goal is to match the dog with a family that fits the dog’s needs. We are solely focused on what is best for each dog in our rescue. These dogs have had enough moving around, dumped out like trash, and we want to ensure they find their forever home. We do require you sign a contract and if at any time you cannot continue to provide for the dog, the dog comes back to the rescue. Your first step to adoption is filling our our on line application. You will then get an automated email stating we got your application Next our adoption coordinator will be in touch either by phone or email If your references check out, a home visit will be scheduled. After the home visit is done, a meet and greet with the dog you are interested in and/or any other available dogs we have will be scheduled If the dog and you are a match, contract will be signed and you may take your new family member home. Story
Our boy Screech was born on July 20th, 2025. He came from a litter of 10 puppies and he's the last one without a home. Screech is so very sweet but we just don't have the room to keep him. We also really can't afford it. He hasn't been properly house trained but he seems to be a quick learner with other things, so I'm sure he will learn just fine. Screech's dad is a Great pyrenees and his mom is a Staffordshire Terrier/pit mix. Both parents are very sweet and very loyal. I've included pictures of the parents as well. I will also be adding another more updated picture of Screech. I will be completing another round of shots for Screech this week as well as taking him to get his rabies shot. So he will have those done vaccines done before adoption. I truly hope I can find this sweet boy the home he deserves. I have no doubt that he will be such a loving and loyal companion. My husband named him after Screech from saved by the bell. He doesn't actually screech himself🤣
