Story
We adopted Biscuit when he was 8 weeka old after falling instantly in love with him. He was a smart, quiet, and calm puppy. He was timid and weary of strangers. As a young puppy, he would hide under a couch, bed or closet when guests would come over. We worked to socialize him with guests of all ages, and get him used to seeing all kinds of people and things on walks in parks and in the neighborhood. We used positive reinforcement by giving kibble or a treat as he passed folks, bikes, joggers without reacting. As he got bigger and stronger, it seems so did his impulses to react around joggers and cyclists and sudden movements or excited children running. We continued positive reinforcement. We have a relative with severe allergies to dogs, and are unable to keep Biscuit long term. Biscuit is from both protective and herding breeds, and is very protective of his family and home including yard. While he takes time to warm up to new people, he is loyal to those he knows and loves.

Story
Hi, I'm Rosa, a 5-7-year-old spayed female Great Pyrenees-Labrador mix with a heart as big as my body! 🐾 I'm a farm girl at heart — energetic and loyal, always ready for adventure whether that's a run around the property or cuddle time with my people. I'm affectionate and friendly, and I'd love nothing more than to find a home where I can be your devoted companion. My adoption fee is $300, I am spayed, started on my vaccination schedule and microchipped. Head to www.mjhs.ca and click the adopt tab, then adoptable animals and scroll to my sweet face to submit your application to come meet this sweet girl and let's start our next chapter together! 💕

Story
Hi, I’m Odin! I’m a 4-year-old Great Pyrenees with a sweet and gentle nature. I’m still very new here, so everyone is just getting to know me, but so far I’ve shown that I’m a kind, calm boy with lots of love to give. When I first came in, I was very underweight, and the staff have been working hard to help me get back on track. I’m already making progress, but I’ll need an adopter who is committed to continuing that journey with me and helping me reach a healthy weight. If you’re looking for a gentle giant with a soft heart and lots of potential, I just might be your guy.
