Story
I have everything going for me — I am big, sweet, goofy, well-trained and loving. I’ve been a fantastic companion to my person for the last 3.5 years but he has to move overseas to take care of his ailing mother, and I’ll need to find a new forever home here. I just love chilling and sleeping as long as I get 2~3 walks a day (in addition to my potty breaks). My favorite time is when I fall asleep to my person's lullaby while he gently caresses my cheeks. I’ve done a lot of training and I’m great with walks and get along with most dogs and other animals. I try to stay away from aggressive ones though. But because of my size, other dogs often get a bit intimidated and bark at me a lot, but I don’t usually mind it and I just ignore them. Seeing squirrels gets me excited but I am learning to leave them be. I’m very good with sit, down, shake/hand, stay and touch, especially when I get rewarded with treats! I like playing with my friends but I also like doing my own things and sniff, sniff, sniff… I was born to SNIFF! I'm also great on car rides and love going to places. Getting my teeth brushed every night has become my favorite thing too and I would love to continue with that routine to keep my good health! Again, I’m mostly chill but because of my size, I would do best in a home with people who are comfortable handling a big, strong dog and no small children. I’d also love to find a home with an outdoor space, so I can chill under the sun. If you want a big, sweet goofball who will love you back unconditionally, swipe right and let's match! I'm healthy now and ready for adoption.I'm not always the easiest dog to manage, but I've had formal training and a few foster families to help me learn how to behave in a home. I've learned a lot, but still have some learning to do. I'm very smart so I know I can continue to learn more.I love running around, cuddling and playing with other dogs. I'm very high energy, love to go on walks, but can be reactive to triggers when on leash. Another dog in the home would be great, but that dog would need to be able to handle my energy level. I need a yard to get my daily zoomies in.If I'm going to be left alone, I need to be confined in a dog proof area or in a crate. I'm not suited for apartment life. I can be shy with strangers at first, but I'm quick to fall in love with most people. Although I've been supervised around young children and did great with them, I tend to jump and play nip when excited so would do best in a dog experienced adult home.I might do ok with cats. A couple of the foster homes had cats and I ignored them or left them alone, but I was never unattended with them.If you're looking for an active great gal and can give me the structure and environment that I need to thrive, please put in an application to meet me. HI - I'M MORGAN, and I'm a large (90-pound-plus) 6-year-old male Rottweiler in need of a forever home. I've been waiting quite awhile for the right person or people to come along. I'm a very loyal Rottie and will be loving and protective to my person. I especially love women though would do fine with the right guy. I'm not fond of farm animals, and I'm also not a fan of some veterinarians. I do have some arthritis, so stairs do not work for me. I'm also bit flat-footed now and then, but nobody will notice. I currently take inexpensive glucosamine dog treats, which help greatly. Rottweiler or big-dog experience is essential! I would do best with a single person or a couple who wants a loyal companion and who has experience with the breed. I would also do best in a quiet home where my person or people are my world. I have done fine with some dogs, but will thrive as the only dog in the home. Please email for an application.

HI - I'M PHOENIX! I'm a handsome, healthy and rugged 10-year-old Rottie mix in need of a foster or forever home. I lost my previous foster home due to no fault of mine, and I really miss having people around to snuggle in the evenings. A little bit about me: I was rescued from a shelter a couple years ago, where I was a shelter favorite, and am currently waiting for someone to adopt me. I weigh about 80 lbs. Despite my age, I am active and I'm a very loving dog. I'll do well with an active person or people who can take me for walks and hikes. I have MANY positive traits - I am affectionate (I love to give hugs once I know you!), I walk well on a leash, and I am a very loyal and sweet dog. I will be your best friend for life. I also prefer to have my person or people around, but that can be expected of most dogs! I am not a barker unless it is warranted. I can also be a bit protective of my people and our property, which can be a good thing. While I get along with some dogs (especially females), I can be reactive on a leash. I would thrive as an only dog, or at least as an only male dog, as I love human attention and affection and I'd do well with a strong owner, too. I weigh about 80 lbs.
