Story
Melody is a one to two year old Rottweiler/german shepherd mix. She weighs 70 lbs. This is a gentle giant! We were alerted to this dog by code enforcement who was checking on a non occupied home and discovered this mama dog and her 8 pups were still living at the home. Mik, Mariah and Norma are the three pups we have from her. Melody is a calm, well behaved dog. She loves children. Unfortunately she is heartworm positive but we plan to treat the heartworms as she completes her pretreatment meds. This is a great dog for someone who likes bigger dogs with calm and gentle demeanor. Her adoption fee is $300 and includes heartworm treatment. Story
My name is Irene. I was a momma dog at the shelter. My puppies have all grown up and gone to a foster home- now it's my time to shine. I'm great on a leash and enjoy neighborhood walks. When we go outside for a walk, I collect sticks and carry them as my prize. I really love toys and my favorite game is to grab a tennis ball, squeaky ball, or plush toy and fetch or be chased. Sometimes I entertain myself by chasing a giggle ball around-that's my favorite toy of all. I’m crate trained, but I like to take afternoon naps in my dog bed. My foster home consists of one other dog, and we love to play together. I would do great in a forever home with other dogs or the queen of my own castle. Story
To adopt please fill out an adoption Application  Back in July, a sweet young black Lab mix was rescued in Memphis just before she gave birth to 5 beautiful puppies. The father, of course, is unknown but from the pups’ appearance is believed to be a Rottie.  Mamma Dog has long since been adopted but a couple of her pups are still awaiting their forever families… including Siri. Siri is a 7 month old female Rottie/lab mix. She’s very gentle and sweet, a little shy with strangers but warms up quickly. Good with other dogs and living comfortably with 2 other dogs in her foster home.  Not cat tested yet. Loves kids and recommended for children 10 years and older.  Medium energy level outside, quiet and well-mannered in the house.  Housebroken and crate trained. Loves to be with her people.  Good on a leash, rides great in the car.  Estimated DOB is 8-3-23.  Healthy and fully vetted, current on shots, spayed, weighs about 25 pounds.  Sweet young Rottie/Lab mix will make a wonderful companion (and jogging partner!) for a family who loves the breed. To adopt please fill out an adoption Application Contact us at reply@happydogrescue.org  visit us at http://www.happydogrescue.orgApril 23, 2024, 3:02 pm
