Story
Meet Harli & Bear – A Bonded Pair Looking for Their Second Chance Harli (black) and Bear (white) are two sweet 9-year-old pups who’ve known nothing but love—until recently. Their owner, who raised them since they were puppies, sadly passed away in March. Now, they’re in search for a loving home where they can spend their golden years together. These loving “young seniors” are truly a joy to be around. Bear is the playful one as he loves toys. He usually has one that he brings around in his mouth. On the other hand, Harli is a gentle teddy bear and not into toys. Both are affectionate, well-mannered, and get along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes. Currently living with a foster who works from home, Harli and Bear are calm companions in the home office and love nothing more than your company. They love back rubs and to be brushed. They’re curious, easygoing, and will no doubt bring comfort, joy, and loyalty to the right home. These two can’t survive the stress of a shelter. They need a safe, loving environment where they can finally settle. If you or someone you know is open to fostering or adopting this bonded pair, please reach out. You could be the miracle they’ve been waiting for. Both dogs love to play - Harlie loves to cuddle and as you can see, Bear loves toys. Harli and Bear are extremely healthy and have a long life ahead. We feed raw and high grade foods which supports each dog's robust immune system. Please give us a call today and find out more about these two perfect doggies...and the Reunion Rescue/Animals First foster to adopt plan.

Story
ADOPTED. Max is a delightful little guy whose goofy grin and wildly wagging tail get a smile from everyone he meets! He is housetrained and good with other dogs and cats who are tolerant of dogs. Max is about 1-1/2 to 2 years old and about 7 lbs. He is an affectionate, sweet boy. He has blossomed in foster care and has overcome most of his initial shyness at meeting new people. Max thrives in the company of other dogs. He has become play pals with a gentle Aussie and is currently in a foster home with two small dogs. Max has met several horses and was also good with them. He would also do well with younger children as long as they treated him gently. Max absolutely loves his walks! He becomes so excited when he knows that he is going for a walk that he dances on his hind legs (he does the same at mealtime!). He has boundless energy while on walks and is well-behaved on the leash. At home, Max is a calm and happy dog who loves to cuddle. He'll win your heart when he climbs into your lap and takes a nap while you watch TV. He does not seem interested in playing with toys. He does like to sleep with his person at night and sleeps through the night with no problem. Max would do best in a home with another dog (or dogs) or if his person were with him much of the time. He is a special little guy who deserves a stable and loving long-term home. Max’s adoption fee is $275. He is being fostered in Martinez, CA. Arrangements to meet our dogs occur after an application has been received. Please contact us at dogzonerescue@yahoo.com for more information about this great guy or for an application to adopt.

Story
Ethan Allen supplies nothing but the finest furniture, and this gorgeous Great Dane does not disappoint! Probably one of the biggest doggos we’ve seen at Muttville, Ethan is more of a stately armoire than bedside table, but he’s proof that any dog can be a lapdog if you have the mind to. Be careful, because this distinguished gent might be bigger than you, but if he fits (well, even if he doesn’t), he sits. Ethan is a slow and steady wins the race kind of guy who has lost some of the agility of his youth, but what he hasn’t lost is his fondness for chicken and his even larger than life heart. Nothing compares to a hug from Ethan Allen – he’s simply the best!

Having a canine friend who enjoys running and playing would give Rumin a wonderful outlet for his playful side. His future family should also be prepared to continue his training and give him plenty of mental stimulation. Rumin is exceptionally smart, and we believe he will thrive when given the opportunity to learn. With patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, he could become an incredibly well-trained and devoted companion.Rumin has everything we could hope for in a young dog. He is gentle, affectionate, social, playful, and wonderfully smart. After his difficult start in life, he is ready for a family who will recognize how special he is and give him the loving home he deserves.
