Please call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. Story
Hello, my name is Ino, I am a mature, six-year-old, large sized greyhound mix that was surrendered to the shelter with another canine housemate in late February. I was sad, needing a dental, and very skinny, but have since receive medical care and recovered enough to start looking for my family. My housemate was adopted in no time, but I've just been waiting and hoping someone will love me and give me a life a calm soul like me. I am potty trained and walk alright on a leash. Around other dogs, I am low energy and prefer to do my own thing and haven't been very playful in play groups here. I do enjoy the presence of other calm canines, so if you are looking to add a low-key sight hound to your pack please bring them by before you adopt me so we can ensure we'll make the best of buds. My friends here do not know how I will be with cats, as there was no information shared about what my living situations was life before coming here. Please come meet me, I promise I'm worth it.Weight: 60 lbs Primary Color: Grey Secondary Color: White Weight: 57.6 Age: 6yrs 1mths 4wks
