She is named “Narcissa” because she’s pale golden and beautiful like the flower…but “Cissy” suits her sweetness and spark! Although she’s only just over a year old, her puppy days were turbulent. Rescued off of the streets, she was taken in by a kind-hearted woman who is overwhelmed with other animals and cannot give this angel the home she deserves. Cissy is likely a lab/terrier/greyhound mix. 40-50lbs of bright energy and love. She adores people and kids who don’t mind a flurry of cuddles and kisses! She chases and wants to play with kitties, and other dogs might not appreciate her puppy antics and lack of manners. She has a lot to learn but is very smart and trainable! Cissy’s current owner is willing to help cover the cost of her vetting and spay…to ensure she gets a great start with a family who will adore her as much as she will love them back! Who will bring home this bundle of joy? Cissy is waiting with a smile to find out!

Story
Ares is a 35 lb good boy that loves people. He is a bit fearful so slow introductions to people and dogs is important for this boy. He came into the shelter because he was left alone in front of a home where he was abandoned. We don't know how long he was out there alone, which make all the sense in the world why he would be fearful of life. He is a snugglebug and is good with other dogs that have his own calm energy. We are not sure of cats but he does have some prey drive. He needs a family that understands him and is patient with him. He would be great as an only dog and with children 12+. He needs a fenced in secure yard. No apartments or condos please. He is good on leash and is crate trained. If you feel you can give our beautiful Ares a good home, please fill out an adoption application.
