Story
Doc is a confident, independent boy who enjoys exploring his surroundings at his own pace. He is approachable, calm, and easy to lead, showing comfort and confidence in new environments. During assessments, Doc was observed happily curled up on a bed on his own, content to take time and explore without stress. While he is friendly and approachable, Doc tends to focus more on his environment than on constant human attention. Handling is simple, and he shows no signs of resource guarding. Physically, Doc is in great condition with no concerns noted. Doc recently joined a geyhound group walk and met a few small dogs, including an Italian Greyhound. He was gentle and had no reaction. He walks great on lead and barely notices squirrels on his walks. He has not been introduced to cats but based on observations with small dogs and squirrels, he may be cat workable with the right introductions and training,Doc would thrive in a home that appreciates a calm, confident, and independent companion, someone who can give him space to explore and settle while offering affection and guidance when he seeks it.
