Meet Asteroid
Asteroid’s story is one of hope and second chances. This 1.5-year-old mixed-breed boy made it out of the Arkansas kill-shelter system and traveled safely to Wisconsin with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on 12/6/25. He is now settling into his foster home, where his sweet personality is shining through even more.
Asteroid is a cuddly, gentle, social boy who loves everyone he meets. He gets along wonderfully with the resident dog in his foster home and enjoys playing and exploring with his new friend. He also loves the snow and has already discovered how much fun winter can be. At night, Asteroid sleeps quietly in his crate without any issues.
He may take a little time to adjust during big changes—like the long transport up to Wisconsin—but that is completely normal. Once he settles in, he relaxes quickly and shows what an easygoing, loving dog he truly is.
Asteroid weighs about 45 pounds, is heartworm negative, house trained, and crate trained. He is dog friendly with both big and small dogs and kid friendly, making him a great match for many types of families.
