Story
Belgium is a handsome boy but very overweight. We have him on a diet and whoever adopts him will need to make sure he continues his diet and exercise program so he can remain healthy. Overweight dogs equals less longevity. People who fatten their dogs up, take a minimum of 2-3 years off their pets life. Belgium is pretty easy going. He knows the dog door and is housetrained. He likes to cuddle with others at times. He enjoys attention from people and will make a good companion.   Adoption fee is $225 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and many have received further treatment for such conditions as lump removal, severe ear infections, dental cleanings, bloodwork, leg injuries, etc..                        We do out of state adoptions but require a submitted application, a home visit (sometimes we cannot get this done and then we can not adopt), and the adopter must come to Las Vegas to meet the potential dog(s), possibly adopt, and then drive the dog back.      Disclaimer: The SNBRF has the right to deny applications based on our adoption policies established for the consideration of the health, safety, and well-being of the dog. Beagles can have a lifespan of 15-18 years therefore beagles under 3 years of age will not be adopted to anyone over the age of 62. Story
Rambler is a nice young 2 yr old male. He is shy/skittish. This is for a good reason. Poor Rambler had his back foot caught in a trap. His foot was badly mangled when he came into rescue. We do not know if he tore his foot from the trap or what, but he had so much damage of bone and tissue that he had half of his foot removed. Surprisingly, this has not affected his physical movements. He sometimes holds that foot up but mostly he uses it and runs on it. Rambler is fairly calm for a young guy. He does like to track occasionally when he catches a scent and will bark/bay as he goes but it is not constant. Because dogs are his comfort, he should be adopted to a home with other dogs. He does seem to prefer men over woman. He is still learning to trust people and will not cuddle at this point. He is a lovely gentleman Adoption fee is $400 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue. Story
Grinch is around two years of age. He came to us through our rescue partners in the south. He was doing pretty good and was adopted. Unfortunately 9 months later they say he has separation anxiety. We suggested a few things to try but the adopters did not want to try anything more. They stated they got a complaint about barking and wanted to return him. Grinch is a young guy but he is timid. He is young and playful and would do better with another dog in the house.  Adoption fee is $350 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue.
