Story
Rhapsody is a sweet 1-year-old Beagle who was born at Ridglan Farms, a research facility. He has now left that life behind and is joyfully learning how to be a dog for the very first time.  Rhapsody is a true puppy at heart — energetic, playful, and currently in a full-on chewing stage. He’s full of enthusiasm and loves toys and playtime. Everything is brand new to him: walking on a leash, riding in a car, eating and drinking from bowls, house training, and learning to trust people. He had never even been outside before coming into rescue.  He would do best in a home with another well-balanced, active, and playful dog who can be his companion and show him the ropes. A confident canine buddy would be perfect to match his energy and playful spirit.  This special boy is ready to experience the love and freedom of a real home. If you have the patience, time, and another dog to help him thrive, Rhapsody would love to meet you!   Adoption fee is $550 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and many have received further treatment for such conditions as lump removal, severe ear infections, dental cleanings, bloodwork, leg injuries, etc..                        We do out of state adoptions but require a submitted application, a home visit (sometimes we cannot get this done and then we can not adopt), and the adopter must come to Las Vegas to meet the potential dog(s), possibly adopt, and then drive the dog back.      Disclaimer: The SNBRF has the right to deny applications based on our adoption policies established for the consideration of the health, safety, and well-being of the dog. Beagles can have a lifespan of 15-18 years. Therefore, beagles or any other breed who are under 3 years of age will NOT be adopted to anyone over the age of 62. For individuals who are 70 years of age and older, the dogs must be 8 years or older For more information or to submit an adoption application, please visit our website at http://www.southernnevadabeaglerescue.com . We are also on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/SouthernNevadaBeagleRescueFoundation . Come meet and play with our available dogs at Las Vegas area dog parks. Times and locations can be found at http://www.meetup.com/beagles-207/ . Contact us or check our Facebook updates ahead of time if you are interested in meeting a particular dog. All our dogs are in foster homes so not all are available to attend all our park meetups. Our meetup group playdates allow you to socialize your beagle with his/her own breed at dog parks with large fenced areas where the beagles can run and play off-leash. Story
Caspian is a sweet 1-year-old Beagle who was born into a research facility. From the moment he entered the world, he never experienced the joys of a normal puppyhood. Like so many others, he was separated from his mother very early — sometimes as young as 5 weeks old — and raised in a sterile laboratory environment. Thanks to the tireless work of animal advocates and a strong public outcry, Ridglan Farms was exposed, leading to the rescue of many dogs, including Caspian. He had never felt sunshine, enjoyed playful cuddles, or tasted real dog food. Everything is brand new to him: learning to chew, drink from a bowl, walk on a leash, play with toys, house train, and most importantly, trust humans. Caspian is a loving boy who is making wonderful progress, but he still needs time, patience, and understanding as he continues learning how to be a dog. Important Requirement: Caspian must be adopted into a home that already has a well-balanced, existing dog. A younger, playful companion would be ideal to help guide him. Applications from homes without another dog will not be considered — these dogs learn best by following a confident canine friend.  He is currently eating more consistently, about 60% house trained, and walking well on leash. He still experiences occasional motion sickness and has a sensitive stomach as he adjusts to new foods and supplements. Because he can startle easily, he would not be suitable for homes with toddlers or young children. Story
Truman is a sweet, energetic baby under 1 year old. He’s a Beagle and Australian Cattle Dog (Heeler) mix with the most unique coloring and the softest coat. This little guy is very playful and active, but he’s also incredibly cuddly and affectionate. He would thrive best in an active home with other playful dogs to keep him company. Truman was pulled from a shelter where his life was in danger. We don’t know how he ended up there, but we’re so glad he was saved. He has now completed all of his vetting and is ready to find his forever family. Adoption fee is $400 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue. Story
Zeus is a sweet young Beagle-Basset mix, estimated to be 3–4 years old. He’s a petite guy, weighing only about 20 lbs.  He previously had a family, but they didn’t have time for him and had not provided any veterinary care. Since coming into rescue, he’s been making great progress. Zeus can be a little timid with new people at first, but he continues to grow more confident and social every day.  He loves playing with other dogs, is a great eater, and is already very good with the dog door. Adoption fee is $325 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue. Arlington is a beautiful chocolate-colored boy who was pulled from the shelter after no one came to claim him. While he was originally estimated to be about 1 year old, we believe he’s actually younger — most likely around 7 months old. He’s still very much a baby with lots of puppy energy and curiosity. He’s currently learning things like using the dog door and understanding boundaries.  Arlington loves attention and enjoys being near his people. He’s active, playful, and gets along great with other dogs. Adoption fee is $400 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue. All our dogs are in foster homes so not all are available to attend all our park meetups. Our meetup group playdates allow you to socialize your beagle with his/her own breed at dog parks with large fenced areas where the beagles can run and play off-leash. Beagle enthusiasts, come bay with us..... AROOOOOOOOOOOO!  July 10, 2026, 6:17 pm
