Story
Delilah – 1.5-year-old Beagle Delilah is a playful, active, and affectionate girl who brings tons of joy and energy to every day. She loves going on walks and adventures and will even pick up her own leash when she’s ready to go! She gets along great with other dogs, is very curious about cats, and loves children. She is incredibly affectionate with her people and, as a true beagle, is very food-motivated — she’ll happily follow her nose (and her stomach) anywhere food might be! Important Note: Delilah has separation anxiety and does best in a home where someone is present most of the day. She will not do well if left alone for long hours. Delilah is looking for an active family who enjoys daily walks, fun adventures, and can give her the companionship and structure she needs to thrive.   Adoption fee is $400 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and many have received further treatment for such conditions as lump removal, severe ear infections, dental cleanings, bloodwork, leg injuries, etc..                        We do out of state adoptions but require a submitted application, a home visit (sometimes we cannot get this done and then we can not adopt), and the adopter must come to Las Vegas to meet the potential dog(s), possibly adopt, and then drive the dog back.      Disclaimer: The SNBRF has the right to deny applications based on our adoption policies established for the consideration of the health, safety, and well-being of the dog. Beagles can have a lifespan of 15-18 years. Therefore, beagles or any other breed who are under 3 years of age will NOT be adopted to anyone over the age of 62. For individuals who are 70 years of age and older, the dogs must be 8 years or older For more information or to submit an adoption application, please visit our website at http://www.southernnevadabeaglerescue.com . We are also on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/SouthernNevadaBeagleRescueFoundation . Come meet and play with our available dogs at Las Vegas area dog parks. Times and locations can be found at http://www.meetup.com/beagles-207/ . Contact us or check our Facebook updates ahead of time if you are interested in meeting a particular dog. All our dogs are in foster homes so not all are available to attend all our park meetups. Our meetup group playdates allow you to socialize your beagle with his/her own breed at dog parks with large fenced areas where the beagles can run and play off-leash. Story
Caspian is a 1 yr old beagle. He started his life in a research facility. Born into this life. These dogs are not treated as loving adorable puppies who thrive and learn as they grow. these dogs are ripped away from their moms as soon as they can be. (at this lab, we found sometimes as young as 5 weeks) and sold into research. Many of these dogs stayed on site and were tested on there. The animal advocates were able to put a spotlight on Ridglan farms and the public's outcry ultimately helped save these dogs from this life. Caspian was among many that we took. These dogs knew nothing of sunshine, of cuddling, of play. They were not given normal food even and had to learn to chew and drink water out of a bowl. They are slowly learning to be a dog; to have fun playing with others, to receive love, to house train and walk on a leash.  Caspian is a very loving dog who will take some time to trust and patience as he learns. You must have an existing dog in the house. If you do not, you will automatically be disqualified from adopting a research dog. They need a dog to show them the way. A younger dog might be more helpful for Caspian as he is young. He is eating more consistently and is about 60% house trained. He is learning to play and does pretty well on leash. He still gets some motion sickness and does have a sensitive stomach as he is adjusting to new foods and supplements. These dogs spook and startle easy and are not well suited for toddlers who often are unpredictable with sound and movement.    Adoption fee is $550 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue. ** PLEASE EMAIL questions, please DO NOT call. We are a volunteer based group and are unable to handle the call volume. WE HOLD ADOPTIONS ON SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS FROM 10-4 PM at our Adoption Center. Our adoption center is located next to CAL Ranch at 232 North Jones (I-95) Suite 170. NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY, just walk right in. Rupert is about 4 yrs old and currently weighs about 30 lbs and needing to loose at least 5 lbs. His family was moving and was unable to take him with them. More will be known about me soon. FROM HIS FOSTER: If you are looking for nice guy with an adorable overbite, look no further than Rupert. He loves to ride in the car and sits quietly like a truly relaxed guy. He loves his food and treats, but ...it looks like he has a dad bod and may need to cut down on his snacks. Rupert is excited to go out on a walk and truly enjoys sniffing and exploring his surroundings. He enjoys throwing his stuffed dragon around and chasing after it. The dragon has become his bedtime buddy too. He is housebroken and will stand by the patio door to be let out. He was not interested in joining our dogs that use their doggy door. Rupert definitely wants to be near the humans in his life. He’s not a snuggle on the couch kind of guy, but he is the lay under your chair and lay next to your feet at all times kind of guy. When life becomes too much for Rupert he will go to his safe space inside a dog playpen with his bed and dragon for just a few moments before rejoining the household activity A Path 4 Paws holds adoption events at our Adoptions Center, located at 232 N. Jones Blvd, Suite 170 right next to CAL Ranch (North Jones/ I-95). Please bring your dog(s) for a meet and greet (if applicable) Please bring your entire family so everyone can meet. If you are interested in Rupert, please contact dogrescuelv@hotmail.com to confirm the dog you are interested in, will be attending that particular event. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle Rupert into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours, Monday-Friday. Meet Waffles - the super sweet senior girlie! Waffles came to us from a local city shelter. We have a soft spot for seniors and wanted to help her find her forever home. Waffles had been found as a stray with another senior girl, Pancakes. Waffles is very sweet and loving. It's hard to tell from her photos, but she is short and stout (possible a black lab beagle mix?). Waffles needs some help getting into a vehicle, but will happily let you lift her. Out in public she is super friendly and loves to greet everyone. She is the type of dog who is always wagging her tail and loves affections and attention! She also goes to playgroup with our gentle and dainty crew. We would love to see her get her happily ever after! If you would like to foster Waffles and/or Pancakes, please email Ashley: ashley@heartsalivevillage.org If you would like a meet and greet for adoption, please fill out his application and our ReTreat staff will be in touch with you soon! You can also visit us during walk-in adoptions Saturday & Sunday from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Story
Some dogs just love harder than others. 💜 Meet Maddie, our 6-year-old Puggle. If you’re looking for a dog who is "part of the furniture," Maddie isn't for you. But if you’re looking for a dog who will be your heartbeat at your feet, she’s the one. Maddie is a total sweetheart who is fully potty trained and a dream on a leash, but her real specialty is loyalty. She is a "velcro dog" in the truest sense—she thrives when she is with her people and can get a bit lonely when left behind. She’s looking for a home where the door doesn't stay closed for long—perhaps a work-from-home setup or a retired family who wants a constant companion for walks and tug-of-war. Ready to be loved unconditionally? Maddie is ready for you. 📩 Email: Adopt@PAWsitivedifference.org
