Meet Tinkerbell, your new partner in coffee dates and cuddles! Tinkerbell may be a senior, but her heart is forever young. This basset mix pup brings a delightful blend of calmness and curiosity to every moment. With a snuggly nature that could warm even the coldest of days, Tinkerbell is the ultimate companion for lazy mornings and cozy evenings. She's not just about relaxation, though - Tinkerbell's curiosity keeps her exploring the world with the wonder of a pup half her age. She's got a taste for adventure and would love nothing more than to join you on leisurely coffee dates, making every outing a memorable experience. Her love for people shines through, making her the perfect partner for companionship. Tink is an alpha-lady girl boss, so would do best in a home with a sibling who is very submissive, or as an only dog! Because she can be so bossy, she would also do best in a home without young children. If you're seeking a loyal and loving friend to share cuddles, and countless heartwarming moments, Tinkerbell is the one. Tink has completed her Heartworm procedures in the rescue, and will need to be re-checked in a year. Embrace the joy of having a forever companion who's as sweet as she is curious, and super playful! Adopt Tinkerbell today and let the delightful journey begin!

Story
Meet Janis! Janis came to Hope as a tiny puppy. While all of her siblings and mom have since been adopted, Janis is still looking for her people. Janis is a spunky Beagle mix who is perfectly house-trained, and crate-trained as well! She loves to play tug-of-war or fetch and zoom around the backyard. She also settles well with a bone in her comfy bed, and loves to be in your lap. One of our favorite silly things about Janis is that she likes to walk into and wrap herself up in blankets (and curtains if you let her)! After showing some reactivity to other dogs, Janis has been working with a trainer and has made tremendous strides. With consistent direction, she walks beautifully on a leash, and her trainer and foster parents are very happy with her progress -- they agree that she is ready to find her forever home! Janis is a smart pup who quickly learns commands and is eager to please. Her perfect home would be with someone who is committed to continuing regular and consistent training with her. To help with this, Hope is offering to pay for several professional training sessions with her adopter to set everyone up for success! Her future family should be able to appreciate Janis's hound-like tendencies to vocalize; while we are working on this behavior with the trainer, Janis is a Beagle mix after all, and will likely always be pretty vocal. Due to her sensitivity around other dogs, she would do well as a solo dog but could likely co-live with a dog in the future with continued training and proper, structured introductions. She currently lives with a cat and REALLY wants them to like her. (She's very curious about them, and does well with assertive cats who will tell her who's boss.) She would likely do best in a calm home without small children. At a year old, she is less than 30 lbs and will remain a medium-sized dog. We recently found out that Janis has kidney disease. She shows no symptoms and is a very happy girl. She will need to be on special kibble to manage it. If you are interested in Janis, click Apply for Adoption!
