Story
Hi there! Are you looking for a new best friend that will adore you, protect you, and make you laugh? My name is Bruno and I may be your guy! I am about 2 years old, weigh 25 pounds, and am likely a dachshund mix with the cutest short legs and long body. I arrived very sick from the shelter, but am a healthy, happy boy now and am so excited to find my forever family! I am such a good boy at my foster home! I just adore my people, get along great with the other female dogs in my home, am housetrained, crate-trained, will dance for food, and even put myself to bed! I love to play in my yard and snuggle with my humans. But when I leave the comfort of my home, everything is still pretty scary for me. I can be nervous around new people, especially men and kids, as well as bikes and new things. I really love being around my people and can be a bit protective of them. I am a very affectionate and loyal guy and would love to follow you around wherever you go around the house. I can be dog selective, especially with large male dogs. I LOVE to play with dogs close to my same size! Cats are still too exciting for me. I have a medium puppy energy level and I LOVE to play with toys and explore. I am eager to please and treat motivated and am working really hard on my training to help me be less scared of this big world. I am going to need a family that is willing to be patient with me and have a training plan to help me with my socialization and help me continue to learn that the world is not a scary place. In return, I promise to love you forever and be the best sidekick and protect you from the lawnmower and other scary things! I cannot wait to meet you! If you’d like to meet Bruno, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationSeptember 23, 2023, 8:13 am
