Story
Are you sitting down? Here goes. Weights, a youthful chi-beagle mix with a lot of energy and countless fans, loves all people, laps, other dogs, treats, adventures, pets, hikes, tum rubs, playing, sitting on command and probably Abba hits and picnics. He’s a moving and grooving all-of-the-above guy who never, ever stops smiling. Say hello and he’s your sidekick; scratch behind his ears and he’s planning a commitment ceremony. Busy as he can be, he pumps the brakes for naps and snuggles, and yes, he can climb stairs. The list may be longer. Come double-check for yourself. Here's some notes from his foster: For the past week, I have been taking care of the adorable and playful, Weights. During the day, Weights loves to play with his toys. If it squeaks, he will come. He enjoys playing with toys alone and will also encourage you to toss it for a quick game of fetch. He absolutely lights up when he sees a toy and will seek out his toys, too. Weights is a spry little guy who easily can go up and down stairs. He is able to jump up and off the couch and bed without any assistance. He sleeps through the entire night but quietly shifts around from time to time. He’s potty trained. If he needs to go out, he signals by moving around you a lot. During his down time, he loves to chill with his people, snuggling on your lap for pets and belly rubs. He has no problem moving from person to person making sure everyone has a chance to show him some love. If I need to pop out to the store or a class, Weights takes it in stride. He will find a comfortable spot in his bed or couch to snooze until I come home. Weights enjoys his walks. This polite gentleman, will sit patiently for his leash to be put on and taken off. He even sits by the door as I secure my keys. Weights does well on long walks (1 hour) and quick 10-minute strolls. He doesn’t pull on the leash and is happy to meet other dogs, people and even the occasional wild turkey! Weights has been an absolute pleasure and an excellent guest. If you are interested in a dog that will quickly fit into your family, please come see this sweetheart!

Story
Scotty is a very sweet, loving, calm basset hound. He was abandoned by his owner in Asia as they discovered that he has some deformity in his front legs. His joint buckles as he walks but that doens't slow him down in anyway. He's able to walk, run, and go up/down the stairs just fine! He walks well on leash. Loves to eat and he does well with other dogs and loves people. SF Bay Area adoption only.
