Story
Kimber is a 6 year old Bloodhound and an absolutely wonderful companion. She is a fast learner with a solid foundation of trained behaviors: Walking to heel, sit, leave it, find it (she doesn’t play fetch but loves to find a treat in the grass!) and “go play” which is the release command that lets her sniff around to her heart’s content. She enjoys the dog park but is still learning not to pull towards other dogs while she’s on a leash. She’s curious when meeting people and affectionate once she knows them; it took about a month for her to be comfortable in my home, now she sleeps in my bed. I am heartbroken that my life circumstances are preventing me from offering the home she deserves, but I have no doubt that she will bond just as well with her new owners. She is big and strong with some resource guarding behaviors that haven’t been an issue with adults who give her space but aren’t suitable for young children (under 12.) She would also like to be the only dog in the home.

Story
Our girl Sophie Claire is an older, faded Lemon-colored Beagle girl that seems to be 8-10 years of age.  This girl not only is showing the signs of age but, also the hardship of living as a hunting dog in the deep south.  This girl and her companion Beagles apparently lived with a heartless and indifferent owner and now Sophie Claire seems to have been the only one to escape alive from that desolate life.  She is tender, sweet, and is very focused on knowing her surroundings through her nose scent.  Sophie Grace is mellow and adores any attention and loving touch that you might give her.  She is only 22 pounds and a little thing that would sleep sweetly in your bedroom at night just so she could listen to the breathing of her humans nearby. We are looking for the “hound loving home” that will invite this girl to come live a life she never dreamed existed. You can see in her face that she has been defeated in so many ways, and yet we are seeing a renewed happiness to sleep in a nice dog bed and to join her foster mom on the sofa.  She is wonderful with other dogs and we would only assume that she is a friend to cats.  She meets people with her head downward and yet with a hope that you will give her some petting and attention. If you would like to give a sweet Beagle like Sophie Grace a forever home please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com ASAP! Story
My name is Elvis and I am a darling little Tennessee Treasure who wants to rock your world with the best Beagle fun ever.  I was found as a thin little guy, and they say that I am 12 weeks old.  I am looking for that perfect Beagle family that has a fenced yard and who adores my breed with all our funny quirks.  I am just starting out with my life and so far I am loving and friendly with everyone.  I am not housetrained yet, but working on it and I am learning what a wireccrate is all about.  I will probably be a 25-30 pound adult Beagle when fully grown.  I love kids, cats, other dogs and I love going places with my people. If you are interested in adopting me, please let Critter Cavalry Rescue know!   They are ready for me to find the perfect family that understands how cool Beagles are.  Please email them at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 26, 2024, 2:09 pm
