Story
A Little Beagle Woo + A Whole Lot of Houndy Sweetness! PAC would like to officially introduce you to Amber and Ashley — two sweet girls who recently went from being out of time to getting the second chance they deserved. Amber, a 20-lb Beagle, and Ashley, a 34-lb Hound mix, were dumped together and found themselves on the euthanasia list at a rural animal control facility in Illinois. Thankfully, they made their way to PAC, and we`re so happy they`re here!We want to be very clear: please do not bash the shelter or its staff. The staff there are amazing and doing the best they can within the restrictions placed on them. Their higher-ups do not allow adoptions through their organization, so they rely heavily on rescue partners to help save animals. We`re still learning whether Amber and Ashley are sisters or if their relationship is more like mother and daughter. What we DO know is that they have a special bond. Ashley, who is the taller of the two, seems to look to Amber for a little extra confidence. And after spending some time with staff, we`re learning that these girls are pretty darn adorable.* SUPER food motivated — treats are definitely the way to their hearts!* Typical hound girls who are ready to follow their noses wherever they take them. * Both seem to be potty trained!* They don`t seem to have met a stranger and are incredibly friendly.* Both are VERY cuddly and firmly believe they are lap dogs. Their size opinions may differ from ours. * Both saw the garage cats and were completely unphased! Proper introductions are always important, but it was a great first observation.* Both did great with nail trims! Another win!* Both do well with other dogs.Ashley is still a little shy when she first meets you, but she`s warming up quickly — especially with Amber nearby. And then there`s Amber…Our 20-lb Beagle has apparently decided it is her personal responsibility to make sure EVERYONE knows she has arrived. THE WOO IS STRONG WITH THIS ONE. These two girls have already come so far. They went from being out of time to being safe, loved, and given the opportunity to simply be dogs. We`re still getting to know them, and we`re excited to watch their personalities continue to shine.Amber has the woo. Ashley has the sweetness. Together, they have a whole lot of love to give. Both girls are still waiting to be spayed, bu

Story
Bobby came to us as a stray and was full of fleas and ticks. We are guessing he is at least 10 years old and may be deaf or just hard if hearing. Bobby has tested positive for Heartworms and will begin his treatment in August, so he will only be available as a foster to adopt right now. He will be neutered after his treatments. He is a very sweet boy and craves attention. We are working on housebreaking but he isn’t quite there yet. Email us at adopt@allpawsrescue if you are interested in meeting him. He will be at our adoption events till his treatments begin. All pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and on a flea/tick preventative.  Cats are tested for FIV/FeLV and dogs are tested for heartworms. Adoption fee is $150 for cats and $200 for dogs. To meet this pet, please fill out a dog application or cat application.  Not able to adopt?  Inquire about fostering or sponsoring this pet.  For more information visit www.allpawsrescue.info.  September 6, 2026, 8:23 am
