Story
This little one came from a hoarding situation, we are estimating to be somewhere between 5-6 years old. Being taken out of that situation when it’s all you’ve ever known is a bit of an adjustment, they have just gone into foster homes, and with patience and a bit of time we are confident they can adjust into a normal life. None of the dogs were nippy, just nervous. With this in mind we would recommend no small children or hectic households. They are all used to other dogs and a confident doggy companion in the home would be great. Maxine was the oldest girl that came from the house, we think she is around 6-7, she was a little shy, but seems to be taking things in her stride and has settles into her foster home without skipping a beat, we think she’s happy to be out of there. She came to us very pregnant and uncertain, and an X-ray showed she was carrying four puppies. From the moment they arrived, Macy showed the world what kind of dog she is — an exceptional mama. She dotes on her babies, plays with them, watches over them carefully, and makes sure they are always safe and loved. Macy has an intensity to her affection that is impossible to miss. She will look at you with big, open, soulful eyes — the kind that seem to ask for love while offering all of hers in return. There’s a tenderness about her that tells us she likely didn’t have an easy life, and being abandoned while pregnant only reinforces that. And yet… she still trusts. She still loves. She still opens her heart to people. That kind of resilience speaks volumes about Macy’s beautiful spirit. She is sweet, gentle, affectionate, and deeply loyal. Macy will thrive in a home where she can finally be someone’s priority — where her love can be returned in full. There is going to be a very lucky person or family who opens their heart and home to this remarkable girl. If Macy’s eyes — or her story — have caught your attention, she is waiting for you. Roy is an amazing beagle boy, he’s about 6 years old and 28lbs, to know him is to love him, he has an amazing personality and has charmed everyone he’s met, he’s just finished his heartworm treatment and is ready to go to a new home mid February.
