Story
It’s everyone’s favorite chocolate-y pup! Meet Godiva! Take it from us: She’s a top choice here at our canine confectionery. This young soul was rescued in Atascosa, Texas, before she came to SNIPSA with a litter of eight puppies. While we don’t know exactly what her life was like before, we know it’s about to get a whole lot sweeter! It won’t take long for her to melt the heart of a potential adopter.  Godiva is a Beagle mix with a friendly, outgoing personality. She keeps her space clean, lives for walks around the neighborhood, and just can’t wait to be a house dog. While her favorite activity is snuggling up with her humans, she also likes playing with other dogs and crashing out for long snoozes. Godiva recently received corrective surgery for entropion, a condition where the eyelids turn inwards and rub against the corneas. She is feeling so much better now that she can see with her two sparkling eyes! After saying goodbye to her puppies and getting all of the medical care she needed, Godiva radiates happiness. At two years old, she has plenty of spirit, and she will appreciate an owner who can offer equal parts playtime and snuggles into her day. If you’re looking for a gentle dog without a hint of bitterness, this is your girl. Apply to meet her today!

Story
How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? None—because she’ll willingly give you her love! This girl is the newest SNIPSA obsession. Tootsie came all the way from Uvalde, Texas, after being owner-surrendered with her sister and four puppies. She is relatively shut down after being uprooted from her previous home, but she is a curious and gentle pup with many years to offer your family. Craving stability at this point in her life, Tootsie will need an owner who is patient, caring, and committed to her care. She is thought to be around a year and a half, so she has plenty of time to adapt to your home. You may even find a playful spirit underneath her reserved exterior, since Dachshunds are known to be relatively energetic! So, will you give Tootsie a chance? Adopt her, and she’ll chew you right back!
