Story
Sammy is a sweet, bright, and curious big boy!  He likes pets, likes to give nose bumps, but will also stay busy checking out his world. He’s a big chunk of a cat, even on a limited diet!  He loves his snuggly bed, his catnip toys and interactive feeders, and especially Churu treats!  He is generally gentle but will give back what he’s given so it’s better not to tease or rile him. Sammy gets along well with dogs but can intimidate other cats. He does well with confident cats who will set boundaries with him. He is not recommended for young children (10 or older would be okay). Sammy is being fostered in Grand Junction, but he can travel to the Front Range for a great adopter! https://youtube.com/shorts/vE75KqwY8ik?feature=share   foster: SB Courtesy post.PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
Hi! We are the dynamic duo of Sissy and Sybil! We are fostered in a home in Platteville and can be met there!  Check out these two! These beauties were rescued from an overcrowded farm where they were living with MANY other kitties. Sybil is friendly so she was elected to be a 'foster' mommy to Sissy. When they are not snuggling they are chasing and wrestling each other. Sybil acts like a kitten when she plays with her little friend. Sissy is still shy with people but we are hoping she will learn to love domestic life. She certainly enjoys the food & comfort! Sybil has a condition that gives her a runny nose from time to time and she is perpetually 'stuffed up' but healthy, otherwise. She could stand to lose a little weight. :) Sissy is a healthy, lean panther and her tail curls like a monkey's! Would you like to welcome these two ladies into your home? Set up a visit today!   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.  These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes.  These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for kittens (6 months & under)    $125 for cats (older than 6 months)    $75 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.
