Grayson was adopted from Misty Eyes as a tiny kitten. He ingested a foreign body that required emergency surgery, so he was returned to us. He has recovered nicely from his very close call, and is a very sweet kitty. He is great with dogs and one of the friendliest kitties that his foster has had. Hope is a pretty little calico girl who was surrendered to Misty Eyes due to her owner's allergies. She is a friendly, playful kitty who will make a great companion. She has good litterbox manners, is playful and enjoys a cat tree with a scratching post. She is living with other cats in her foster home, but would be happiest as the only kitty! She doesn't "show" well initially because she gets very stressed in new places. After about 24 hours, though, she is friendly and affectionate -- on her terms. She is not a lap kitty and doesn't enjoy being held, but she may lay beside her person and enjoy a chin scratch or two. Are you one of those people who like cats, but don't necessarily want an in-your-face affectionate, pushy kitty? If so, meet Lucy Belle. She's a 5-year-old buff female tabby cat who came to Misty Eyes after her owner passed away. It took some time for her to adjust after the heartbreak of losing her family. In time, though, she learned to trust and enjoys hanging out in the same room as her people. She will occasionally deign to hop up and take a nap with her foster mom. She also enjoys being petted, but on her terms, and she will let you know when she's done. She doesn't appreciate the company of other cats, so will need to be the only cat in the home. She has great litterbox habits and adores canned/wet food. If you would like a kitty to be your companion without walking all over your computer or constantly invading your lap, Lucy Belle is a loyal, satisfied-to-be-nearby type of cat.
