Story
Gwen was surrendered to a veterinary hospital in 2013, along with her sickly mother and three 5 week old siblings. All cats were adopted out to wonderful homes, including she to mine. Gwen lived happily with her kitty roommate and myself for many years. She was able to adjust to my wife and a new home, remaining a quiet companion and affectionate pet. Gwens life changed in late 2022, when our family welcomed our first child. Gwen had always been shy, especially with strangers, but she became more reclusive and fearful with everyone, especially the new baby. As the baby grew and became mobile, Gwen's anxiety progressed to the point of house soiling. Veterinary appointments have demonstrated that her problems are behavioral rather than medical. Diet, litterbox, and medication trials have brought minimal to no improvement. She’s isolated and anxious; a baby is not what she signed up for. I love this cat, but she needs a fresh start for her golden years, and it breaks my heart.
