Havana Brown kittens & cats in Springfield, Michigan

Mikey has been apart of our home since March '22. We got him from a shelter when he was about 1 y/o. He has been very receptive to young kids in the household, and is very patient with them. He is a very social, curious, and exploring cat. He seems to enjoy having a second cat in the house, and enjoys rough housing. However, he doesn't seem to meld well with our family situation. He seems to get bored/anxious a lot when our family is gone for extended periods, and with 2 young kids in school with both parents working full time, we don't have the time to continue trying to help his anxiety. He is currently on 1.5ml of prozac daily. This seems to help a bit, but he occasionally goes through behavior phases when something we can't identify changes in the house. During his depressed phases, he does tend to chew on cords and pee outside of the box. We are praying that Mikey finds a wonderful family that can love on him the way a good cat like him deserves!

I do enjoy playing with toys and I really like wand toys. I like to cuddle up and take a good long nap! I can be quite independent, but I still want all the loving’s I can get! I would do fine in a home with another cat who is looking for a playmate. I would be best with older children, pending observed interaction.
