Story
Keith is a male domestic shorthair tabby kitten. He was rescued in January 2024 in East Charlotte alongside some of his colony. We estimate his birth month to be October 2023. Keith has received his 1-year rabies vaccination, and is neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. He has been combo tested (is negative) and received both FeLV and FVRCP vaccines. Possibly a bit more shy than The Rolling Stones's Keith Richards, our Keith is cautiously-optimistic about the good life but he also goes absolutely bonkers for catnip-scented and catnip-flavored treats! He loves to follow around the hoomans in his home, and loves when he gets lots of attention and pets. But on the other hand, he's also totally OK doing his own thing and enjoys his time of independent bird watching or napping. Keith is in foster care with exposure to other cats and small senior dogs. We believe Keith would do just fine as a solo pet, but will also acclimate to other cats/dogs in the house with time to adjust. Story
Tchotchke is typical tuxedo hooligan.  She was rescued by a Windsor Kittens volunteer in September 2023, which is also her birth month. She is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated, including rabies . Tchotchke loves perching on shoulders and playing with everything. She is an outgoing and full of life. She loves to get a little feisty and jump on her stuffed toys and chase your ankles. She will greet you at the door, follow you around and be a part of everything you do. Tchotchke prefers to save her snuggles and affection for when shes nice and tired. She will then hang on your shoulder or curl up in your lap, opening up that little motor of hers. Tchotchke enjoys her dog friends but can be cautious with anyone new. She generally will meet new people but will avoids pets until she's more comfortable. This petite little girl is constant entertainment and will keep everyone on their toes with her antics.  If you are interested in Tchotchke, please complete an application here:  https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=BBTNKHMB April 30, 2024, 10:31 am

Story
Gingersnap came to us with a very common and heartbreaking sad situation as a stray that landed in a kill shelter in Tennessee.   This beautiful girl was so terrified and despite that the shelter staff knew she  had a sweet spirit about her.   The shelter could have adopted her out because she is FIV positive.  Her way out alive was if she was to leave  with a reputable rescue that knew how to place cats like her.  She is very healthy and we have learned so much about cats living long and wonderful lives even with the FIV diagnosis.  She does not care for other cats and that is fine she cannot be around cats unless they are also FIV positive.   I'm sure she could adjust with another cat but she tends to just run away from them and she hisses and growls at dogs.  She would be a wonderful cat for a quiet home with a retired couple or empty nesters who have had all the young children fly the nest.  We do suggest a quiet home with no dogs  she loves to sleep in her little Kitty bed and enjoys a simple existence where she can receive human love and attention.   If you are interested in this sweet girl please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   May 2, 2024, 9:09 am
