Story
Sweet RosieJust like her name, Rosie is as sweet as a rose! This affectionate 1.5-year-old beauty was found caring for her kittens and brought into a loving foster home where she could raise them safely. Now that her babies are grown, Rosie is fully vetted—spayed, tested, vaccinated, microchipped, and healthy—and ready to begin a life of her own.Rosie loves being close to her person. She gently rubs against her foster’s legs for attention, happily soaks up chin and cheek scratches, and follows her foster around the house like a little shadow. At bedtime, she curls up on the bed for cozy snuggles. She’s also playful and energetic—she’ll chase her favorite string toy endlessly and zoom after tossed balls and toy mice with delight.Rosie would thrive as an only cat, but she’s shown curiosity toward other felines and will likely do well with a friendly male kitty after a slow, thoughtful introduction. She’s not expected to be a good fit with dogs, as she has no known experience with them.A wonderful blend of affection and fun, Rosie will make a loving, devoted companion for the lucky person who brings her home.To learn more or inquire about adopting Rosie, please email Patricia at dpcadams@comcast.net.For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgDecember 1, 2025, 6:06 am

Story
Meet Baldwin Baldwin is a handsome polydactyl gentleman with extra toes and extra heart. He can be a little shy when you first meet him, but don’t let that fool you—once he realizes he’s safe, his sweet and affectionate side comes out quickly. A few gentle words and a calm presence are usually all it takes for Baldwin to start leaning in for love.Baldwin was rescued from a hoarding situation where he didn’t get the care he deserved, but he’s been incredibly resilient. He’s currently regrowing some fur he lost due to a flea allergy, and with proper care he’s feeling better every day. Despite his rough start, Baldwin is gentle, loving, and clearly grateful for kindness. If you’re looking for a cat who will blossom with a little patience and reward you with quiet affection, soft purrs, and those adorable extra toes, Baldwin might just be your perfect match.Adoption fee includes:&#226&#156&#133 Spay/Neuter&#226&#156&#133 Vaccines&#226&#156&#133 Microchip&#226&#156&#133 Treated for fleas and worms Interested in meeting Baldwin?Email us at: adoption@columbiahumane.org to request an application.Adoption Fee: $175For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgFebruary 11, 2026, 6:31 am
